Chapter 11

(Taking a break from Maya's POV. It'll probably be in the next chapter)

Lucas's POV:
I paced the movie theater, looking for my phone.

I probably should've gone home by now, but I was determined.

It was now closing hours and my co workers were cleaning up.

My shift was over so I didn't have to do anything.

I suddenly heard a door opened and I turned in that direction.

Missy walked through the door and I heard her heels click against the floor.

She came straight towards me and just looked at me.

"What are you doing here?" She said sternly.

"I lost my phone somewhere around here." I said, scratching the back of my neck.

She gave me a fake smile. "Oh, that's too bad. But we are all going out because work hours are over. You can look tomorrow."

Going out? What's that supposed to mean?

I watched as everybody packed their stuff and all left out the main entrance.

Missy turned back to me and said, "you should come. Since your new here."

I blinked. "What exactly is it?"

"We all go out somewhere to eat after work. It's kinda a transition."

"Oh umm I don't know I have to go home---"

"I'm not giving you a choice." She sent me a glare which quickly turned into a smile.

"Come on! You can ride with me!" She said brightly.

I hestiantly followed her out into the parking lot.

I only am going with her because I'm scared of her. Is that fair?

If only I had my phone I would contact Maya...

I sighed and came to reality when I heard Missy's loud voice.

"Here we are."

She unlocked her car and I climbed into the passangers seat.

I looked around to see the parking lot empty.

Missy started the car and slammed her feet onto the pedals.

I held on tightly to my seatbelt, scared for my life.

Once missy started driving smoothly, I spoke up.

"So is everyone meeting us there or?" I said, referring to our co workers.

"Huh?" She said, not taking her eyes off the road.

"Our co workers."

"Oh! Yeah yeah they are." She said, hiding a smile of some sort.

I looked out the window to see pitch black and the city lights shining on the roads.

I miss Maya and Annie.

We reached a restaurant and I climbed out of the car.

Thank goodness, missy is a maniac driver.

I looked around to see no familiar faces and I started to get confused.

We walked into the building and missy spoke to the waiter.

"Table for 2 please." She said, with a sly smile.

"2? But how about the res---"

The lady grabbed the menus and started walking away, "right this way."

For some reason, I forced myself to follow her and we got to a table.

There was a candle in the middle and I felt my face get red.

The table was set up very romantically and it seemed like missy and I were on a date.

I took a seat, pretending I was with Maya instead.

Her beautiful blonde hair, parted perfectly and her adorable laugh--

"Hey!" Missy snapped at me.

I looked at her and she looked back.

"Looks like everybody else couldn't make it." She said, not sounding disappointed at all.

I sank down in my chair, tapping my fingers against the table.

A waitress came by and she smiled at us and said, "aww how cute couple date night"

I tried to reassure her. "No no it's not---"

"I would like a water please." Missy said, interrupting me.

"I guess I'll take the same." I mumbled.

The waitress jotted it down and walked away.

Once our drinks arrived, no one really talked.

I sat up in my seat. "Missy, what are toy trying to do here?"

She sipped her drink. "Nothing."

I sighed, trying to relax a little bit. "Can I at least borrow your phone? I need to call Maya."

She took another sip and smiled. "Don't worry she already knows."
