Maya's POV:
It's been two hours since Lucas had left with his family.

I really had nothing to do.

I just watched four episodes of a show on Netflix. It was nice.

"Ma!" I heard someone saying.

I stood up and walked over to the crib.

The was Annie's way of saying my name.

Since she was 14 months old, she was learning to talk more.

"Do you need something?" I said, lifting her up.

I saw her chewing on a toy and figured she was hungry.

I grabbed my phone, putting it in my back pocket.

I've heard more from Lucas then he's heard from me.

It's cute when guys are concerned though.

I went downstairs, heading towards the kitchen.

As I went down, I wondered why Lucas's parents had such a big house.

Only three people live here and it has like five bedrooms, from upstairs to downstairs.

Oh well. It's not my problem really.

I grabbed some peas from my suitcase and went over to the microwave.

At least I was responsible enough to actually remember her food...

~~~
Lucas's POV:
I just realized how weird it must look for my parents, me and my older brother to be at a place like this.
It's more of a kid friendly place.
But it was nice. It brings back a lot of memories from when I was younger.
"Lucas, look what I got you." My mom said, coming towards me.
I looked at her hands. It was a cowboy hat.
"Thanks mom but I'm 19, I don't know if I want to wear that." I said as nicely as possible.
She put the cowboy hat on me anyways, like she did when I was 12
"Thanks." I said, with sarcasm.
I remember my phase in middle school when I literally wore cowboy hats.
Yeah, I know it's weird.
Thank goodness I moved to New York and got out of that phase.
I looked at my phone for the first time in the past hour.
I assumed everything was okay with maya and Annie.
But when I opened my lockscreen, I saw several missed calls.
From Maya.
It was actually 8 missed calls to be exact, all from 30 minutes ago.
What was I thinking putting my phone on silent?
What if something bad happened to Annie?
"Mom, we need to leave now." I said quickly.
I ran over to Derek and my dad while they were looking in a shop. "We need to leave now."
"Lucas, what's the problem?" My mom said.
I tried turning my phone on but of course, it was dead.
"Maya called me 8 times and I didn't answer, I need to see if she and Annie okay!" I said in a panicking tone.
"She's probably fine." Derek said, shrugging.
I sent him a glare. The worst part is, my parents didn't seem to care that much either.
"Please? This is really important. It's my child...something could've happened."
It was more important than a state fair, that's all I know.
We all headed back to the car and started driving back.
I knew my parents should've been worried about Maya and THEIR granddaughter.
But I wasn't exactly worried about that right now.
I sighed. I just hope Maya and Annie are okay...
Maya's POV:
I finished feeding Annie and put the spoon down.
"Wow, you are a mess." I said, looking at the peas on her face.
She just smiled and kicked her small legs back and fourth
I went over to grab her bib when I heard the door burst open.
I jumped at the sudden movement. What the heck was that?
I saw someone enter the kitchen and it was Lucas.
"Lucas, you scared me!" I said, relieved.
"I scared you? You scared me." He said, looking at us confused.
"How?" I asked.
"I got 8 missed calls from you. I thought something happened to you and Annie." He said.
I grabbed my phone from my pocket. "I didn't call you? It must've been a butt dial."
I saw Lucas sigh with relief, a smile appearing on his face. "I'm really happy to hear that."
I leaned up to kiss him. "I missed you though."
He pressed his forehead against mine. "I don't think I've ever been too scared before."
"Don't worry, we are all fine."
I walked over to Annie to clean her face, since I got so distracted.
I looked up at Lucas and said, "hey Lucas?"
"Yes?"
"Nice cowboy hat." I said, with a smile.
