I woke up the next morning to have a huge pain in my leg.

This wasn't a surprise, it's been hurting the past few days.

Since I couldn't walk on my own, I had to call Lucas.

"Lucas!" I yelled so he could hear me.

I heard someone running up the stairs and Lucas appeared.

"You okay?"

I nodded. "Uh yeah. I need help getting down the stairs."

Lucas let out a sigh of relief. "I thought something was really wrong with you."

I rolled my eyes playfully. "Please take me downstairs. I have things to do."

He picked me up bridal style and took me downstairs.

I saw my wheel chair by the kitchen and said, "oh yes thank god."

Lucas put me down lightly. "You know you weigh literally nothing?"

I just laugh, looking at my not so flat stomach.

"Yeah right."

Ever since I had Annie, I feel like I've gotten bigger.

"Maya, really?"

I sighed, moving in my wheelchair. "It's nothing important Lucas."

I saw Annie eating on her own, quite messily.

It was improving at least.

Suddenly, I remembered something and gasped a little.

"Oh my gosh, Lucas how could I forget?" I said.

Lucas was sitting in a seat now. "What?"

"It's your birthday today! I'm so dumb." I said, face palming myself.

Lucas chuckled. "Relax. I forgot too."

I scooted closer to him and kissed him on the lips. "That's just the beginning of your present."

"Are you saying..." Lucas winked a little.

I caught on and moved away. "Oh my god, no. It's an actual thing Lucas."

Lucas sighed. "Aww."

I rolled my eyes. Typical.

"Heppy." Annie said, from her chair, attempting to say happy birthday.

Lucas got up and kissed her cheek. "Thanks baby."

I watched Annie smile up at Lucas, which was the cutest thing ever.

Suddenly, Lucas's phone rang and he picked it up.

"Oh hey mom." He said.

I tried not to listen to his conversation, pretending to be busy.

But I couldn't help myself.

"Oh thank you." Lucas said.

He paused, probably listening to what his mom was saying.

Suddenly, his face brightened up. "No way. Really?"

"All of us?" He questioned.

After another long pause, Lucas said. "That's awesome! I'll talk to her. Okay bye."

He hung up the phone and looked at me.

"What was it?" I asked curiously.

I was being really nosy, but oh well.

"My mom just bought me a plane ticket to Texas!" He said.

I almost choked on my coffee. "What?!"

That came out wrong, but I was surprised.

Lucas's facial expression changed. "Is something wrong?"

I shook my head, sitting next to him. "No...it's just that I was gonna buy you that."

"Aww Maya."

"Now I have nothing." I groaned.

"Well, if it makes you feel any better we have three plane tickets." He said.

That didn't really make me feel better, but he tried.

"I don't know about that..."

I remember not exactly getting along with Lucas's parents when we were dating.

I don't even wanna know what they think about me now.

"I don't know..." My voice trailed off.

"Maya please. It could be our first family trip altogether."

"What about my leg?" I said, looking for excuses.

"I'll be there."

I looked over at Annie who was moving around in her seat, looking happy.

I turned back to Lucas. "Okay fine...we can go."

Lucas smiled. "It'll be fun."

I watched as Lucas disappeared and I crossed my arms.

I guess we are going to Texas....
