Maya's POV:
I grabbed Annie from the bed, picking her up with two hands.

She was already 1, which meant she was getting heavier and harder to carry.

But Lucas and I have been watching her walk a little and it's progress.

I looked at Annie to see she was rubbing an eye with her the back of her hand.

"Lucas." I said.

He turned around from talking to Derek who had left the room. "Yes?"

"I just thought of something. We totally forgot like any type of bed Annie could sleep in. What kind of parents are we?"

Lucas scratched his head. "We are learning. We will think of something.."

"Maybe your parents have one of your old ones?" I suggested.

"I'm the youngest and I was a baby 18 years ago. I doubt it."

"It's worth a shot."

Annie had been up most of the night before we left so it wasn't surprising she was tired.

I was even tired myself but Lucas's parents wanted to spend time with us...mostly Lucas.

We went downstairs to see Lucas's parents and Derek by the front door.

"Mom do you have like a old crib of mine or Derek's when we younger?" Lucas asked.

She didn't answer for a minute. "You're in luck, we do. In the second guest room, when one of my friends and her baby stayed here."

Lucas smiled. "Awesome, we need to use it."

I took Annie upstairs and found the guest room.

There was a crib in there by the bed.

I was going to move this into the room Lucas and I were staying in later.

I put Annie down and took a deep breath. "Wish me luck downstairs, Annie."

I was referring to spending time with Lucas's parents. Oops..

I never liked leaving Annie upstairs alone but I would come back a few times to check on her.

Of course, I forgot the baby monitor also.

I went downstairs to see everybody was still by the front door and mr friar was talking.

"Last time I took you to the state fair was what, four years ago?"

"Yeah." Lucas said.

"I go there all the time." Derek said.

Lucas saw me and said, "we can't go. What about Annie?"

I shook my head and said, "Go. I'll stay here with her."

"Are you sure?"

I nodded. "Yeah. They are your family."

Lucas came over to me and pecked me on the lips. "Call me if you need anything."

I let go of his arms and watched everybody leave out the door.

I locked the door behind them and decided to go upstairs.

I felt so awkward to be in this house alone.

I walked into my room and grabbed my laptop from a suitcase.

Should I finish some classes I have or watch Netflix?

Netflix it is.

I signed in and remembered that I needed the wifi password.

I actually still remember their password from two years ago wen I came over all the time...

I went to Netflix and needed to sign in.

Ugh no, I don't remember Lucas's username or password.

I grabbed my phone and started texting him.

What? I was desperate.

Maya: hey can u give me your netflix username and password?

As I waited for his response, I decided to move into where Annie was.

I wanted to keep a closer eye on her.

I heard my phone beep as I sat down.

Lucas: what your Netflix and chilling without me? 😉

Maya: omg stop. That isn't funny

Lucas: it was a month ago

I rolled my eyes as I texted back.

Maya: just give me the user and pass ?

A/N
I ended the chapter like that on purpose. Lol

Lucas's character is literally a combination of many things

I feel like he would be like if he was older though
