"You're finally mine now"

I woke up with a scream, drenched in sweat from the nightmare I just had.

I can't fully see the person in my nightmares, all I remember is his very creepy smile and his bloodied silhouette. Just thinking about it gives me shivers.

I looked towards the window, shocked at the fact that it was wide open, the wind slowly blowing the curtains in suspense.

I hastily closed it, then ran towards the bathroom to splash water on my face.

No, I refuse to believe it. Maybe I accidentally left it open? Yes that's what happened.

Ignoring all the doubt in my heart, I try to think of all the weird stuff that's been happing in the last 24 hours.

After that talk with Xaviar I've been getting this strange feeling that someone has been following me, watching me, looking at me.

It's like I'm not safe anywhere.

My headaches are getting worse, and I started getting these nightmares whenever I go to sleep or take a nap.

Though these nightmares feel like a warning, warning me about something or someone.

But I don't know who the warning is towards!

I remember that Zera's birthday party is the day after tomorrow and the dread in my heart grew.

Should I cancel it? Is something bad happening at the party?

I rubbed my hair in frustration, ah I don't know.

"Class dismissed." I said before closing the textbook and leaning my head on the desk.

"Teacher?"

I recognize that voice...

I look up to see Malik looking at me embarrassingly.

He must've came back from visiting his father in the hospital.

But wait! He never called me teacher! Has the sky turned red!?

"Yes Malik?" I asked looking at him suspiciously.

"I...I lost our bet."

I widened my eyes, "..huh...?"

I mindlessly forgot about that bet due to other things taking up my mind, now that I'm looking back it was really stupid. I don't understand how I can say friends are important when I don't have any at all. Whoops. I think I was mad at his disrespect.

Malik explained, "My dad, when he got bitten, he could've died..If Uncle Rodgers didn't save him he wouldv'e died. When he got bit his comrades left him, but my dad explained he owed Uncle his life."

"Uncle and my dad have been close friends for over ten years since military training,I thought dad saw him as just a close army worker but he thought more of him.

I want someone, a friend, to care for me and save me like that....that's why, I think friends are important."

Wow, that was deep. If this was graded I wouldv'e given him an A+!

"I'm happy about that Malik, It took me a long time to realize friends are important to have, even if you only have one."

Malik questioned, "Who's your closest friend teacher?"

I opened my mouth then closed it.

Huh I didn't expect for him to ask me......

After being surrounded by the Durreal family I have not made any female friends. Even the original Charlotte didn't have any friends. Are all Charlottes bound to have no friends?

I made a mental note to try and socialize later on.

"I guess Xaviar would be my closest friend...." I trailed off.

"He's your son, that doesn't count!" Malik said rolling his eyes.

I disagreed in my mind,  but then said, "Hmm I guess Zera, although he isn't my son he still is very close to me. He makes yummy coffee and paints very well..."

Malik scrunched his eyebrows and said before leaving the classroom, "Maybe you should try...I don't know...Making friends that aren't half your age?"

I gapped at him, he didn't need to expose me like that! Before I reincarnated I was still young! I was only, um......

Shoot.

Living in this world so long made me forget I'm still technically not Charlotte Durreal so I slowly forgot my information in the previous world, but even still I wasn't that old!

And I'm not even that old in this life either!

I resisted the urge to choke this child before he left, not noticing the dark gaze glaring at me intensly.

"....Why..?"
