"Time is a continuum from the past to the future." In Sun argued confidently.

It was yet another day of rehearsals for their upcoming nationals. As always, Hyun Bin was asking the apprentices about their interpretation of the piece.

After weeks of learning the choreography for their ballet group item, they were now discussing the concept of time which embodied the piece.

"Is that so?" Hyun Bin probed the apprentices to think deeper.

"I think time can be an illusion." Ye Jin jumped right into the discussion, having thought about the concept thoroughly in her head.

Her statement perked the interest of everyone around her; Hyun Bin included. They have all heard In Sun's statement before, but Ye Jin's was different. It was a new perspective.

"The existence of time is in our perception of what it is. How we define it, how we measure it, it's all manmade, isn't it? Because humans are afraid to live in the unknown. To not know the number of years or months that went by is scary." Ye Jin explained.

"If that is so, are you saying there is no past and future too?" Hyun Bin asked, already deep in the interesting discussion too.

"They are all manifestations of the illusion of time. It simply became a system that we follow." Ye Jin shrugged lightly.

"But perhaps we can simply define the past as what went by and the future as what has yet to happen. Don't you think so, Ms Son?" Hyun Bin offered an alternative perspective.

"That is another perspective we can take." Ye Jin nodded her head.

And so, the discussion continued as the apprentices sought a definition of time for the piece. In truth, there was no one definition when it came to time, for it was something that philosophers have been arguing for centuries now.

Time truly was an interesting phenomenon. It flowed on its own yet, people have tried to define it with watches and clocks. No one knows what force truly controls time either. All we know was that time passes by.

Time could be seen in the changes in people and the things around us; when children grow into adults or when seedlings grow into plants. They were all influenced by time.

Every day, time continues to run, chasing the future for eternity.

But each person has a clock of their own. This clock occasionally speeds up and slows down. In a lifetime, one never knows where their clock actually ends.

The uncertainty lies in the unpredictable end. Although...one thing was for sure. Time runs out bit by bit with each passing day – as humans would define it.

And so, we continue to follow our definition of time in hopes of predicting this end.

A week later

TTM: 2 Weeks (You may make a smart guess what this means)

After two months of preparing for nationals, the apprentices were now in the dressing room at StarRise International Dance Competition. As with all competitions, dancers from the various companies were busy with the last-minute preparations before their performance.

Currently, a flourish of activities was happening in the dressing room. Makeup boxes were splayed open on the many dressing tables and various curling irons and hair straighteners were plugged into the sockets.
