Entering the season of Christmas, dance companies across Seoul were busy preparing for their annual performances. Seoul Royal Ballet Dance Company was certainly the front runner of these preparations as their dancers were already hard at work rehearsing The Nutcracker months before.

Even though it wasn't Christmas yet, the dancers could distinctively embrace the Christmas spirit whenever they stepped into their company. Who wouldn't when all you would hear in the company was the familiar tunes of The Nutcracker?

Day by day, rehearsals grew more intense as choreographers and dancers alike worked hard to perfect their performance. Even the apprentices were heavily involved in the preparations since they were either part of the corps de ballet or a lucky soloist.

If Ye Jin could dance, she would have been part of the corps de ballet for the season and the understudy for the Sugar Plum Fairy. Unfortunately, this was one performance she would have to sit out of.

Speaking of Ye Jin, she was just entering the dance company with Rose, shaking off the little bits of frost on her clothes and boots, away from the wintery air.

Her doggy friend sneezed, eliciting a bout of giggles from Ye Jin as she reached down to pat her head. Giving her best friend a lick, Rose let Ye Jin hug her before she went off to do her new job.

Since Ye Jin no longer needed Rose to be a guide dog, she worried that Rose would get depressed. She has heard of cases where guide dogs lost their sense of purpose and found it hard to adjust to a life that normal dogs led. After expressing her worries to Hyun Bin, he had come up with a brilliant idea to help Rose.

A therapy dog.

Although she wasn't trained specifically to be one, Rose's naturally warm demeanor and her motherly instincts certainly made her perfect for comforting a distressed soul.

During a season where rehearsals were becoming extremely intense and stressful, Rose certainly had her work cut out for her.

It was the first day Ye Jin was back at the company but Hyun Bin has been bringing Rose to work while she was on bed rest.

From what he told her, Rose was doing well. Everyone adores Rose and giving her a pat or hugging her did just enough to help someone out of their distress. Even now, she had already sniffed out a particularly discouraged ballerino who was now smiling as he fed her a treat.

Seeing Rose in action, Ye Jin's crescent moon smiles lit up her face before her eyes widened in wonderment when she glanced around her beloved company.

It has been days since she got her eyesight back but she was still amazed every time she would encounter something new. Even though she has been dancing with the company for almost a year now, it was her first time experiencing it the way all her friends had.

Faces smiled back at her as she walked down the corridors, fully taking in everything she could with her eyes.

On some walls were posters of the company's esteemed dancers whereas the most gorgeous studios filled most of the halls. Ye Jin never knew that the staircase leading up to the office was decked in gold and black, classy just like the company's reputation in the outside world.

Just outside Dance Studio A, Ye Jin came across a poster that stilled her footsteps. Across the poster in big cursive letters was the title Premier Danseur Noble followed by Hyun Bin's name and signature – just like the rest of the posters she had already come across.
