A/N: Get ready for a really long chapter filled with photos! I tried my best with the edits. It's the epilogue so I'm gonna have all the fun I want with it😉

Special thanks to cmpotter for inspiring some of the scenes in this chapter!

6 years later

In the early morning, the various hues of the sunrise bloomed across the skies, casting a beautiful dance of orange and yellow lights on the earth.

Zooming into one of the beautiful houses in a quaint part of Seoul, you would be able to see a man buried underneath a pile of blankets.

The house was – for lack of better words – colourful. Its white walls were decorated with colourful doodles whereas the floors had blocks of Lego pieces and soft toys splattered on the ground.

Photographs and paintings hung in almost every corner of the house, some of the family, some mere paintings gifted by their friends. The Stitch and Hello Kitty calendar hanging on one of the walls had various writings on it; colour-coded to suit each occasion and each family member.

Everything about the house was soft and cosy, with the adorable throw pillows and plush couches taking up most of the living room.

Back in the bedroom, light snoring could be heard with the occasional soft rustling of blankets as his precious girl shifted her position once again. One of his arms was slung protectively over her, cradling her close to his chest.

"Mmm." The girl shifted once again, frustrated by the snoring right above her head.

Piak!

Her tiny hand smacked her appa's cheek as though that was the magic mute button to all the snoring. Luckily for her, it worked.

A millisecond later, Hyun Bin woke with a start when he felt that light smack on his cheek. His first instinct was to tighten his hold around his daughter and look for the threat.

Except, there was none.

Frowning down at his daughter, the poor man put two and two together and flopped back down against his pillows. Tired eyes studied his daughter as he ran his hand lightly through her hair before he rested the back of his hand against her forehead.

It had been a long night.

Ye Jin had woken to find Mi Ri crying by the door with her thumb in her mouth in the dead of the night. Their five-year-old was clearly unwell but didn't want to bother her parents as she tried to sneak into their bed without waking them.

But, she ought to know by now that her parents would always be sensitive to her feelings. After all, for the first few years, they were the ones who would jump up from their beds every time they heard a wail from the nursery.

Poor Mi Ri had developed a high fever overnight, which was why Ye Jin and Hyun Bin spent practically the whole night tending to their child.
