Chapter 3 - Cyber Training

The dining room where Yosuke Masuda was invited definitely left an impression to him. There was a wooden table covered in white cloth just in its center. Even though there were only few people inside the room, the table was long enough to occupy more than a dozen of people in each of its sides.

To Yosuke's surprise, there were already several types of dishes on the tabletop. From pancakes and bacons to different types of egg dishes. There were also fried rice and several kinds of bread. On top of that, there were pitchers lying in the table so that they could choose their beverages from tea and coffee to hot chocolate.

Although these were quite normal for a breakfast menu, it was all glowing in Yosuke's eyes. As if these dishes were served by a highly skilled cook in some expensive restaurant.

For Yosuke Masuda, it was like a there was a celebration being held in that same room. He then wondered how many years it had been since he ate this kind of mouthwatering dishes.

Haley Ambrosia and Shirley Misashi, admired in the mansion as Aunt Shirley, were already sitting beside the table and waiting for their other companions. When Yosuke sat beside the two, several maids entered the room, filling the vacant seats while butlers and some other men in black suits were just outside, having their own meal in their own table.

This getup was rather unusual for Yosuke. This was probably the first time he saw a wealthy girl sharing the same food with her servants. This made him believed that Haley Ambrosia treated her workers different from those pride-driven, high-class people in the kingdom.

"By the way, where's the other loli that fought with us yesterday?"

"You mean Aki-chan? She doesn't leave here. She's in her own mansion."

"You girls have your own mansions?!" The boy replied in shock. Do these girls have some serious influence or something?

Although there were plenty of dishes in front of Yosuke that made his stomach rumble, the boy was quite anxious about the room where he was. It was because he was the only male sitting in that room.

Then, a rather serious tone spoke to him.

"Masuda-san, it's nice to meet you. I'm Shirley Misashi, the Head Maid of this mansion. If you need something, don't hesitate to ask me in your stay here."

Stay? What stay? The boy thought while he sensed something strange in those words.

Yosuke Masuda, by his power to understand every word in a light novel series... No... He really couldn't understand it all. It was just that Yosuke was good at noticing someone with unknown intentions to him.

His eyes suddenly narrowed.

He was glancing in both of his sides, questioning what the old lady meant when she said 'stay'.

"Ummm... M-Misashi-san, what do you mean by stay..."

"Well, Yosuke-kun, let's start to eat before our food turn cold." Haley quickly insisted.

"Ahm... okay."

Yosuke sensed something odd about that conversation. He knew that to some degree, those words could bring some problems for him.

Although it felt somewhat strange, taking a bite of a dish in that table was delicious enough to erase his worries.

When they finished their breakfast, all of those eating their meal went back to their own work while Yosuke quickly bid his goodbye to Haley Ambrosia and her mansion.
