10: Gangnam Landlord, and a pair of shoes

(4 DAYS LATER)

Duke started streaming on Paprika tv.

The numbers were very low at the beginning.

I was unhappy about this, he had a lot of talent but people only care about looks it seems.

They kept on commenting rude things like calling him a pig and insulting him.

But Daniel came by and joined him one day, and suddenly everyone started to watch him and also started donating balloons.
It's a sad truth that this is a world constructed on lookism😣.

At least Duke got some of the recognition he deserved so that's a silver lining, I guess.

I got home from work.

But I had to go out again to put the garbage away.

The night air was refreshing, so I thought I'd take a stroll and I started walking.

I heard some sound coming from the street so I walked there.

The sight I saw was terrifying.

A man with a knife facing Dan and Zoe!
Of all people, why did it have to be them?!

I recognised the man, he came to the store to buy booze everyday.

How did Dan and Zoe get involved with him?

What do I do now?

They haven't noticed me yet, so I should silently call the police or something.

I saw the man suddenly trying to attack them.

But before he could stab them, Dan threw a jab😲

The knife fell down from his hands, but he picked it up again.

Dan shielded Zoe and then, from behind me, a barbell fell on that man.

It was Euntae.

'Why is Euntae here?'

The man wouldn't stop. He continued to attack and I saw Euntae stopping him.

'I'll call the cops', I thought and dialled 911.

"Hello, there's a man with a knife, he's attacking my friends.
Can you make it quick please?"

"Is it in an alley at this address?", he gave me an address.

"Yes, that's it"

"Someone else had called, we've sent an officer there.
He'll be there in a minute"

The call ended.

'Someone called already? Must be Dan then.'

I turned back to the scene.
