Chapter 7: Anirudh finds himself sole guilty for Bondita's condition

Dr. Bose does Bondita's dressing. Anirudh was outside the room. Sumati and Koyeli were helping Dr. Bose .
Dr. Bose noticed the state of Bondita. She was expression less. The expressions of pain happiness or anything isn't in her face. It seemed like she is in the deapth of dispair.
While doing the dressing Bose asked many simple questions to her like if it's paining what is her name etc but no reply came. It seemed like Bondita is a 1000 year old banyan tree who has seen the world and now is immersed in deep thinking.
After doing the dressing Bose came out of the room. Anirudh was walking to and fro infront of the room.

"Doctor Bondita kaisi hain ... woh thick to ho jaigi na" asked Anirudh

Bose stared at Anirudh. The concern for Bondita was clear in his face. He's not acting . His concern is pure.
Bose called Anirudh aside and looked around to ensure nobody else was there.
"Doctor Bondita..."
"Accha Anirudh babu apne do shadiya kiya tha keya? Apki dusri patni woh bomb blast main mari geyi?"

Anirudh was embarassed by this out of topic question..

"Doctor Bondita ka jo trauma jo bomb blast ki waje se hua woh....." Anirudh tried his best not to answer Bose's question
"Aapko lagta hain Bondita ka trauma sirf bomb blast ki waje se hain" Bose's tone was a little sarcastic

"Matlab Doctor? Sirf bomb blast ki waje se nehi matlab..."

"Dekhiye Anirudh babu main aise aurat nehi jo apse apki personal life ke details janna chahungi without any reason.. I've studied the whole case ... Bondita ka trauma bomb blast ke waje se nehi hain... bomb blast ki waje se hota to uske upar daar ka ek bhab rehta.. per woh nehi hain... aisa lagta hain uske dil main dukh ka ek jhatka laga ho.."

Anirudh was shocked
"Dil ko jatka?!"
"Ha Anirudh babu dil ko jatka... aapko lagta hain jab apne dusri shadi ki to us bacchi ko keya khusi hogi???.."
"Per doctor pehle kuch din toyi thi per fer woh toh Mano se mukabila karna suru kar diya woh to..."
"Kisliye mukabila kiya? Socha keya apne?... apne apko sabid karne ke liye kar rahi thi woh ... apne jo kiya usse use laga ki aap usse dur ja rahe ho... ek bacchi hain woh.. koi bhi baccha woh chahe larka ho ya larki ek chaya dhunti hain... ek sahara dhunti hain... ek assurance pana chahata hain ki ha koi mere sath hain.. koi aur ho na ho yeh mere sath hain... woh ma ho baba ho aur Bondita ke case main woh aap ho..."
Anirudh was speechless
"Aapne jab dusri shadi ki to uske payer ki niche ki jameen chali geyi... uska man insecurity se bhar geya.. jo aapko bachpana lag raha tha deep inside woh feeling of insecurity tha... woh baas apka attention chahati thi aur kuch nehi... "

"Per main nehi chahata woh ek attention seeker ho... patni dharam ka bhoot sawar hua tha uske dimag main... main baas chahata tha ki uske dimag se woh bhoot chali jai.. woh apne payer pe khari ho..." Anirudh defended

Dr. Bose calmly explained him.. "Dekhiye Anirudh babu maine apka pura case study kiya hain... main bhi ek larki hu aur Bondita ke dil ki baat samaj satki hu... apne Bondita ke liye bohat kuch kiya hain... aisa sacrifice koi nehi karta... per sochiye ek 11 saal ki bacchi akeli khari ho sakti hain keya? ek bacchi to apni abhibabak ke hath pakarke kadam age barati hain apne bhabiswa ki aur ... aap use samjha sakte the daat sakte the ... aap uske abhibabak ho... ap sirf uski  pati nehi uski abhibabak ho... you are the gurdian to a child.. you have to be responsible. .. ha apne jo socha usko main appreciate karti hu.. ek bacchi ke man main jo ghusaya geya woh bura tha... samaj aisa i karta hain... per apko to responsible hona chahiye tha.. apne sirf yeh socha ki ek dusri shadi Bondita ko asliyat dekhaigi.. fer.. woh dusri patni agar jinda hoti to apni haaq nehi mangti keya? Aur samaj.. samaj apko kuch nehi bolega per Bondita ko sari jindegi batain sunaiga... Bondita was already in trauma due to deep insecurity and the bomb blast just added fuel to it... Bondita ush insecurity ki waje se kuch galat kadam bhi le sakti thi per hopefully woh nehi hua..."

Anirudh broke into pieces and pieces inside... ha .. usne to nehi socha ki samaj use bate sunaigi for his deeds... he can't tell Bose about Mano's truth but she is right.. only for his irresponsible behaviour Bondita is in this condition
Anirudh escorted Bose towards the main door
They stood on the stairs outside haveli
"Dekhiye Anirudh babu ap bohat chinta karte ho Bondita ke liye... aap use uski hisse ka payar dijiye.. use masus karwaye ki aap uske sath hain.. let her drain out all her disgust for you.. let her cry out loud... baas use yeh biswas dilaye ki aap uske sath ho.. baas yahi kafi hoga.."
Anirudh nooded his head in approval
Dr. Bose went on her carriage.  Anirudh was going to enter the haveli but looked back. The bypassers were staring at him. As they saw him staring at them they moved their faces away.
He could well understand now they are cooking stories about him and Bose. But he don't care. For him Bondita's revival matters the most.
