Chapter 39: Kaka makes a plan

"Aab hum keya kare? Police humare khilaf hain... aab keya karee... Binoy ko phone lagata hu..."
Kaka went towards the telephone and picked up the receiver... the line is cut... kaka pressed the keys and tried in every way but could hear no dial tone..
"Un firangi o ne phone bhi cut diya.." kaka hopelessly sat on the couch. He hold his walking stick and rested his head on it..
"Aab keya karu... kaise dhunu bahu ko... Anirudh ko keya jawab du main?"
He took a deep breathe. .. nehi woh haal nehi chor sakte... think Trilochan think... suddenly a plan cane to his mind.. he'll do a case against the Britishers in their court only... but he needs witness... he can't let that boy in danger he has already done a lot..... Haran... he needs to cage Haran... they'll pretend that Haran is the one from whom they got the news... now they need a barrister.. niw he don't know where is that ghar ka nalayak barrister who used to set up a court in this house only... he needs some other apt barrister who is fighting against Britishers for long..

Kaka called Maiti and Sampurna in his room. Maiti is the newly appointed accountant of Kaka who took the place of Munshi. He's now working for half a year and his work impressed Kaka a lot.
"Suno Maiti Police se har ek paal khabar lo per unke kehne ke anysar kaam mat karo.."
"Keya malik.... per keu?"
"Karan hain Maiti baas ab jitna ho sake humare dofadar admi o ko lagao kaam pe aur kisiko khabar bhi na ho sake ki kaun log Bahu ki khoj se jure hua hain... baas itna jaan lo ek bari si sazij hain iske piche..."
"Saziz?" Wondered Sampurna
"Ha Sampurna.... tumne Haran ko dekha tha na rat ko bahar jate hue..."
"Ha dekha tha jeth ji aur sach kahu to abh bhi uski halkate thori si...."
"Wahi to chahiye... idhar udhar tumhara dheyan bohat rehta hain to use ab sahi kaam pe lagao... Haran ko range hato pakro aur mere pas lao... dilhao kitna dum hain tumnain.."
Sampurna wondered if kaka is doing her barai or kichai...
"Tum ab jao Sampurna kaam pe lag jao..."
Sampurna was leaving but halted and asked a question. ." Jeth ji kahi Haran ke sath Bondita ka gyab ho jane ka koi rista to nehi.."
"Rista ho sakta hain aur na bhi ho sakta hain... per Bondita musibad main hain..  pata nehi kaha hain woh bacchi kis halat main hain.... tumhari hi to zimedari thi na baccho ko dekhne ka??"
Sampurna felt herself guilty but Trilochan felt it's very naturalfor a Girl like this... he should not have trusted her.
"Dekho Sampurna tum per bharosa to yada nehi humara fer bhi ho to ish ghar ki bahu to...."
"Ji samach geyi..." Sampurna replied in a low tone and left..
"Accha suno Maiti..."
"Ji malik.."
"Ek acche barrister ka khoj lagao jo us firangi wo ke khilf case larta ho... samjhe..."
"Accha Malik hum pata lagate hain.."
"Ha ab jao jaldi se jaldi kaam pura karo..."

Anirudh sat in his chair on the room and started writting a letter..
"Keya likh rahe jo aap??" Asked Bondita from behind..
"Kaka ko chitti likh raha hu Bondita registry chitti... jaldi pauchegi.. phone lag nehi raha to tumhari khabar to deni hain na kaka ko nehi to chinta karenge..."
Bondita peeped into the letter over his shoulder..
"Yeh keya ap to mujhe wapas le jane ki baat likhi hain yaha..."
"Ha Bondita mera bohat kaam hain to main nehi ja paunga isliye kaka hi tumhain le jayenge..."
"Per keu... aap mujhe wapas keu bhejna chahate ho??"
"Main tumhain yaha kaise rakhu Bondita... aur tumhara school uska keya hoga... aj rabinar tha per kal to sombar hain na ..ek din already barbad..."
Bondita lowered down her head and looked at Anirudh..
"Per yaha sablog kitne acche hain.... main yahi rahungi.."
"Bondita.." Anirudh stared at her angrily "pehle hi bohat gussa hu main tumhari halkato se.... yeh humara ghar nehi hain isliye daat nehi sakta tumhain yaha..."
"Mujhe yahi rehna hain apke sath.." replied Bondita in a low frightened tone..
Anirudh knelt down before her and hold her shoulders  "dekho Bondita yeh humara ghar nehi hain.. yaha main kaam ke silsile main rehta hu... agar tumhain yaha rakha to yeh sir aur kakima par bojh ho jaiga... hain na... tum to samachdar do samach sakti ho na.."
Bondita slowly nodded her head..
Anirudh left the room... Bondita followed him..
"Aap kaha ja rahe ho??"
"Yeh chitthi post karne... 5 baje post offuce bandh ho jaiga usse pehle hi jana hoga..."
Bondita hold the flying eld of his punjabi "aap mujhe wapas na bhejiye na... mujhe apke sath rehna hain... mujhe wapas nehi jana..."
Anirudh halted "abhi abhi samjhaya na tumhe Bondita...  choro.."
Anirudh again started walking past the corridoor. Bondita again hold his punjabi...
"Please Patibabu mujhe wapas na bhejiye na..."  Bondita started crying ain kisiko pareshan nehi karungi... acchi nacchi banke rahungi..."
Anirudh turned towards her... "ek baat sach sach kaho to Bondita keya gondogol karke ayi ho? Mujhe tumper ab sakh ho raha hain... aise hi tum nehi ayi ho... sach sach bolo..."
Bondita lowered down her head "nehi kuch nehi kita maine... amain to apse milne hi ayi thi..." Bondita took a gulp.. what if Anirudh comes to know that she got suspended for beating Avinav and that Kaka barred her from going to school for boys misbehaviour

"Hmm accha.. sirf milne... choro kaka se hi sab pata kar lungi... kaka ke sath wapas jaogi aur uske baad school jaugi roj.... ek bhi bahana nehi sunna mujhe.. kuch gondogol to hua hi hain.. tumhari akhain keh rahi hain.."
Anirudh again turned to leave.. Bondita again clutched his hands "per mujhe yahi rehna hain patibabu apke sath.."
Now it reached the extreme of Anirudh's endurance
"Kaha na Bondita main tumhain yaha nehi rakh sakta... ek baat samach main nehi ati tumhari.." shouted Anirudh and left hastily from there.
Bondita stood shocked and idle there for sometime and then started crying and ran to the room.
Banerjee and kakima cane out hearing the shouting sound. There was no one. Kakima went to Anirudh's room and found Bondita hitting the bed's wodden stand with her little fists and crying hard on the floor. Kakima went to her and caressed her head...
"R a keya hua Bondita itna ro keu rahi ho... "
Bondita wanted to tell many things but no wrod was understandable die to her deep sobbing.
Anirudh came out into the road and looked back. He did too much. Bondita must be hurt. His heart became a vaccum. But he needs to sent her back. He has nothing here. On which right will he keep her here. And for what reason does she fled Tulsipur. He needs to know that first.
