-

I was walking to class when I saw someone hurled up on the ground, holding their tummy, soft sobs coming from them.

I realized that the person was Taylor. I could recognize this girl anywhere.

I rushed to her and kneeled down beside her, making her sit up.

"Taylor, what's wrong?" I asked her as I held her face between my palms.

She gave me a soft sniffle in response and looked down.

"You - you can tell me what's wrong. Period cramps? Tummy ache? What is it, Taylor?" I rambled out.

"C-cramps." Taylor replied.

I could tell she was lying but I didn't press her on the matter. I took up hers and mine bag and pulled her up. Taylor stumbled slightly but I steadied her and asked her which class she had next.

"Literature."

"Same," I chirped, "We'll head there then."

-

Taylor pretty much didn't like talking to me, but I did not care. I was going to get her to talk me, one way or the other.

"Taylor." I whined as she write her notes.

She turned to me and gave an annoyed look.

"Stop bothering me...Valentina. I'm trying to get my work done and your pestering is stopping me from doing so." she snapped.

My smile fell and her eyes widened in fear.

"I-I'm sorry."

The bell rang, and she immediately packed up her stuff, and left class. I sighed and sat back in my chair.

Maybe I was trying too hard to get her attention.

-

Taylor pretty much avoided me for the rest of the day. Even when I tried talking to her, she'd just say she had to use the bathroom or some made-up stuff. She seems scared and that's what makes me wonder why she's scared. I'm not mad at her. I could never be mad at a such a beauty like her.

Currently, I just arrived home and I parked my car in the garage. I got out and walked into the house.

"Rough day, muffin?"

I nodded at mom's question.

"Mom?"

"Yes?"

"I have my eye on someone."

"It's been like...days since we moved here."

I groaned, "not as in...a girl who I'm going to...do whatever. I have my eyes on someone." I said pointedly.

"Is been 1 year, 2 weeks and 6 days since I've heard that."

I gave her a sharp look.

"Don't give me that look! I'm counting. A mom gotta remember!" Mom said in defense as she dusted off the table.

"Yeah, whatever. Anyways, she doesn't want to talk to me."

"What do you mean?"

"Like...everytime I talk to her or try and talk to her, she pushes me away. It's like she's scared or something."

"Well maybe you're in her space." Mom said with a shrug.

"I-I don't think I am."

"Val, knowing you, you're probably up her ass trying to get a hold of shit."

I huffed a mom's words and said, "I am not!"

"What makes you like her?"

"I don't know. She's just mysterious and...I don't know "

"How old is she?"

"I don't know."

"What's her full name?"

"... "

"Exactly, you don't know anything about her, so maybe you don't actually like her and is trying to unravel her to get in her pants."

"Mom, I'm not trying to get into her pants. I feel she's different."

"How different?"

"I don't know."

"Doesn't answer my question."

"Like she's m— nevermind." I mumbled and walked upstairs my room.
