🌺Taylor🌺

I shook my head.

"I-I can't say anything."

"Does she hit you to do stuff for her?"

I shook my head a 'no'.

"Does she threaten you to do stuff for her?"

Not necessarily.

"Blackmailed you?"

I didn't answer her, which gave her her answer.

Valentina sighed and washed off her hand. She placed a finger underneath my chin.

She stared at me for a while and I looked back at her.

"Can you do something for me, Taylor?"

I nodded.

"Don't let her boss you around and hold your head up."

"Valentina," I said softly, "it's not that easy."

She gave me a questioning look and I removed her hand from underneath my chin.

"If I stop, there'll be consequences behind it."

"She can't do anything to you, Taylor."

"Not her," I shook my head, "Someone else."

"Can you please explain that to me?"

"Valentina, no."

She clicked her tongue against the roof of her mouth.

"It's one way or the other." She mumbled.

My eyes widened at her words.

Valentina leaned forward and hoisted me up on counter and rested her palms beside my butt.

We held an intense staring contest until she leaned in closer.

"Taylor, I'm trying to understand why."

I whimpered when she placed her palms on my hips and trailed a finger up and down my flesh just a bit.

"Help me out here."

Valentina's grey eyes stared in my brown ones and she leaned a bit closer.

"Talk to me."

Nothing happened. The bell ended up ringing and I wasn't about to be late for my next class. Quickly, I rushed from the bathroom and head to class.

What was that?

That was strange.

And the strange feeling I got.

...

I liked having her that close to me.

In another situation, I'd panic, but somewhere deep down, I know she wouldn't hurt me.

I don't know. I have this weird trust in her.

It's a whatever at the point, because I know that one day, she'll be just like him and the others...

I cooked and cleaned the place up for father for when he gets home and then head to my room to do my homework.

A hour later after I finished, I was happy that I didn't have anything else to do, so I took the time I had to treat the bruise on my cheek.

I heard a knock on my door and I froze.

Knocking?

"C-come in."

My father entered the room and I took couple steps back. He looked at me and then at my room. He sighed and sat on the old mattress.

"Taylor."

Taylor? He never calls me by my name before.

"Y-yes, sir!"

"We need to talk."

I nodded.

"Sit?"

"No thank you." I declined.

He nodded and gave me a guilty look.

"I'm sorry."

...I wasn't about to write a book like this😃
