The next place I time-traveled to was 1931. I wanted more than anything to fix meeting Delilah to repair the timeline.
I waited in the grungy bathroom for what felt like hours but was really a few minutes for Delilah to walk by. The wait was honestly killing me inside.
I looked at myself using my phone's camera, and when I did, I hallucinated myself bleeding from my mouth, nose, eyes, and ears. I nearly dropped my phone in horror and screamed. I knew subconsciously that it was all just a hallucination, but it was so realistic that I practically couldn't tell it apart from real life. I even felt the foul metallic taste of blood all over my mouth.
This all seemed so fun in the beginning...
Finally, after hearing her say, "That's not how I remember it," as she walked on by, I decided to time travel out of the bathroom. This time I chose to change saving my father. Despite how painful it was to do, I knew it was the right choice and that it had to be done. Since when was the right choice the easier one? The answer is never.
I'm so sorry, Dad... I hope that someday you can forgive me for this.
