You: "Jaden, I'm not feeling so great. Can we head home?"
Jaden: "Of course, baby. Let me go grab Harlow-"
You: "No, no. It's okay. Let her have fun with her friends. Nessa already agreed to drop her off on their way home."
He gave you a look of frustration so you added: "All the control my dad tried to have in the world only drove me away. Is that what you want?"
He sighed, heavily knowing he'd already lost the battle. You kissed him then took his hand: "Come on. Let's go home."
You got ready for bed then curled up in his arms, trying to work up the nerve to tell him.
Jaden: "I was thinking, maybe we could take a trip with Harlow and just get away as a fami-"
You: "I'm pregnant."
Jaden: "Wait, what? How?"
You: "You were there Jaden."
Jaden: "I just mean- I thought it wasn't possible. We are almost done raising Harlow. How are we just going to start over?"
You: *growing angry at his reaction* "No, I'm almost done raising Harlow... you've barely started."
In true Jaden habit, where any problem could be solved by running from it, he kissed you on the head: "I need to shower, can we talk about this later?"
You were so frustrated that you broke down as soon as you heard the water turn on and cried yourself to sleep. You knew he hadn't meant to hurt you, it was just how he processed things... alone.

All the possible outcomes of his wife's news spiraled through his brain. He hadn't ever imagined being a father but he always knew if it was with her... everything would be okay. Maybe this would be a good thing? A second chance to show his family that they were everything to him. He really hoped it wasn't too late for Harlow and him.
After his shower, he was drying his hair and heard laughing in the living room. As he peeked his head around the corner he saw Lucas and Harlow giggling and couldn't help but eavesdrop.

Harlow: "Luke, no offense to my mom but I don't want what they have."
Lucas: "I just don't want your dad to hate me. He means a lot to me... all of you do."
Harlow: "I want what your parents have. The way your dad is just always there to make your mom smile and they love each other so much... still."
Lucas: "Your mom and dad love each other. Obviously, if they are having another baby at their age."
Harlow: "Yeah, but will he stick around for this one? Your dad will go to the grocery store just to spend time with your mom. When was the last time my dad was there for my mom? I'm not saying he doesn't love her... just it's different."
