You and Nessa take the neighborhood on foot while Josh and Kio borrow your car to drive around some of Bryce’s usual hangout spots. After an hour of wandering the neighborhood and calling his phone repeatedly, you finally hear Nessa call Bryce’s name
Nessa: “Y/N!! He’s over here”
Bryce is laying on the ground under the basketball hoop in the neighbors yard tossing the ball up in the air above his head

Bryce: *sitting up* “A search party? Really?”
Nessa: “Yes Bryce… really! I’m going to go call Josh and Kio”
Nessa walks back to the house leaving you and Bryce alone

Y/N: *sitting next to Bryce in the grass* “Honest answer… are you still in love with Addison?”
Bryce: “I will always love her, and maybe someday I will fall IN love with her again, but right now I think we are just better off letting each other go ...your turn… honest answer… do you really believe Jaden isn’t still in love with Mads?”
Y/N: “I think you’re probably right but if you can decide that Addison isn’t the right girl, right now and love has nothing to do with it, then why can’t he”
Bryce: “I’m just so tired of feeling so alone. I just want to find someone who accepts me for me”
Y/N: “And Addison didn’t do that?”
Bryce: “She tried… but I just do reckless crap all the time and she got tired of cleaning up my messes so they didn’t affect her clean image… You are different….”
Y/N: “What do you mean? I’m just a girl”
Bryce: “You look at me and you see a good man”
Y/N: “You are a good man, Bryce”
Bryce: *leaning into your lips he whispers* “I’m not good enough to stop myself from doing this”
The moment his lips connect with yours, you jump up in a panic
Y/N: “Don’t do that”
Bryce: “You wouldn’t have to convince me to give you everything... ya know that right?”
The truth of that hurt more than Bryce meant it to. The truth is Jaden is the man you are in love with… and in private moments he acts like he is falling for you too, but what if he never admits it and never wants to make something real out of this

You open the door to the bedroom and through the darkness you see Jaden curled up asleep on the side you have been sleeping on all week. You change into pajamas and curl up next to him. You run your hand through his hair like you did the first night you fell asleep next to him and Jaden rolls over and softly looks you in the eyes

J: “I’m so sorry”
Y/N: “I know you are baby”
J: “Please don’t leave me”
Your heart absolutely shatters. He has never shown any vulnerability like this before with you. You slide your arms under the blanket and pull yourself tight against him
Y/N: “I love you so much Jaden”
J: “I’m not ready to think about what’s going to happen tomorrow or next week or next year… but tonight I just want to hear you say it again…”
You look up into his eyes and whisper ‘I love you” against his lips as they claim yours. You’ve been in this position before… just last night in fact but tonight feels different.
The way he grabs ahold of your hair at the base of your neck to force your head back so his lips can glide against your throat.
The way he holds your hands above your head as his tongue pushes against yours.
The way he whispers against your lips “Tell me you’re mine”.
The way you answer back breathlessly “All yours.”
Hours later his hands have learned every inch of you and you’ve collapsed in each other’s arms
J: *whispers against your shoulder* “It will always be you… just you”
