"Okay I think I'm gonna get sick, can we just go to your house and watch some barbie or someth-"

"Oh Hey I- Chaerin?" Jeno said, opening the door of the house the party was taking a place in and interrupting the sentence Chaerin was saying to Soyeon.

"Oh....hey Jeno" Chaerin said with a shy smile, a bright blush spreading to her cheeks as his expression changed, taking a few moments to take in her new appearance.

"Okay you can stop drooling over my friend now" Soyeon said rolling her eyes and making her way into the party, leaving Chaerin behind on purpose.

"Uh...you know what....maybe this was a mistake......I should go home" Chaerin said as she watched Soyeon enter the house and disappear into the crowd of people. Soyeon was sociable, confident and talkative. Everyone's favourite. This party was her setting, but it wasn't Chaerin's.

"No... you should come in. Maybe get some food before you leave" Jeno said and Chaerin bit her bottom lip, feeling her hands get clammy.

"I don't know Jeno...it's not my scene" She said, taking a stand of hair and putting it behind her ear.

"Well then....make it your scene" Jeno said, extending his hand for her to take making her look into his eyes with hesitation.

"You're gonna have to hold my hand, otherwise you'll get lost in a sea of drunk teenagers" he said with his signature smile making her loosen up a bit comfortably before taking his hand in hers and following him into the house.

"I heard about you and Mark by the way" He said and as Chaerin sighed he squeezed her hand reassuringly

"I'm guessing you needed the week off after that" Jeno said and Chaerin nodded

"Maybe coming to a party after shutting yourself out from the world wasn't the best thing to do...if you feel uncomfortable I can drive you home or take you to my house" He said

"Thank you" she said, sighing in relief eyeing the pizza rolls and fizzy drinks on the table

"Yo Chenle said he's ready to beat your ass at foosball" a guys said, interrupting their conversation and Jeno chuckled before looking over at Chaerin

"You go ahead. I'll be fine" She said smiling at him

"Are you sure?" He asked and she nodded

"Okay, I'll tell Soyeon to come over if I see her. And pro tip, don't eat the gummy bears" he said before leaving her alone with the other strangers at the table. Letting out a sigh she checked her phone to pass time after filling another cup of alcohol for herself, her third cup that night.

Opening Instagram she was soon met with Mark's Instagram stories of him being back home at canada. Selfies with his parents, pictures of the scenery, photos from his photo albums....he was having fun. She went to her own profile and sighed at the profile picture of her and mark, a selfie that was taken during one of their campfire dates at the beach.

Changing the photo into a regular mirror selfie before deleting most of her pictures with him, keeping some on it just for memories, she put her phone down and filled her cup up again.

"Wow. That's a sight I'll never get used to" An unforgettable voice said with a low chuckle

"Go away, I really don't need your shitty comments right now" Chaerin said with a sigh, not eyeing the boy who pulled out a barstool from the island counter to sit beside her.

"Yeah you're not gonna hear much from me today" he said making her looking at him. The face of the boy she grew to hate as they both shared insulting comments with each other during the hallways. There was always a backstory when it came to Haechan and Chaerin.

He was the typical high school bad boy, every girl was head over heels for him, and for all the right reasons. He was dark, mysterious and unique. I mean...theres not many guys in the world that are covered with tattoos and piercings and can hit all the high notes to a Mariah Carey song.

Chaerin was the complete opposite. A role model student. And many people were definitely jealous. Things had always been easy for her. Her parents loved her but went on business trips every other day, leaving her with more than enough money to have an expensive taste in clothing. She had a perfect boyfriend who loved and cherished her. She had perfect grades and the most perfect best friend and she was the class representative in the student body council, a prestigious title only given to students that get all straight As.

"Why not?" She asked, looking at him, her body body now turned towards him with curiosity

"I...uh...I heard about you and... Mark" Haechan said and no matter how much he wanted to poke fun at her for it to get a rise out of her, he couldn't help but notice the glint of sadness in her eyes at the mention of his name.

"So does....everyone know?" She asked, biting her lip

"Well....Mark left over a week ago and no one saw you in school since then.....word spreads quite fast" he said making her sigh

"Well...they were gonna find out sooner or later" she said

"Well...enjoy your night" Haechan said, eyeing her slowly one more time as she frustratedly ran a hand through her hair, before getting off his seat and walking into the crowd.

"Hey Chaerin!"

"Chaerin I didn't think I'd see you here"

"You look so good chae~!"

"You look tired as hell" Haechan said, watching Chaerin struggle to take off her jacket as she walked up the stairs.

"Get off my dick pussy ass hoe" she cursed with mumbles making him chuckle. His eyes widened as she squealed, tripping on one of the steps.

"You okay?!" He asked, rushing up to her to make sure she was okay, but all he heard was suppressed sobs.

"Hey...Chaerin?" He asked, turning her over to sit on the steps as he noticed people looking around them. Some of them wondering why the two opposites were even this close to each other.

"Wait...let's go somewhere else"
