14 - I Love You

"Ah..." Y/N closed her as the gentle sea breeze sliced through the air, giving a refreshing coolness to the otherwise warm weather. 

Areum and the boys all ran towards the blue ocean before they started splashing each other with water. It was now afternoon, after a long and tiring trip from Seoul all the way to Busan. 

Jay stood next to Y/N and watched as she stared at her friends with bright eyes. Taking her hand in his, he smiles. "Let's go." He says before pulling her with him. 

Once in, Areum started splashing Y/N as she shivered from the cold water.

"W-wait-" She said, trying to cover her face and hair. "This is how you want to play. Alright." She took off her bag and threw it on the sand, and pulled up her sleeves. "Take this." She started splashing Areum and the latter couldn't help but laugh and scream. 

"Okay, okay, you win." She said between laughs and stood there all wet, staring at everyone in confusion. "Why are you staring at me like that?" 

Jake pointed at her white shirt, the one that was all see-through by now. Areum tilted her head down and her eyes widened at the sight of her black bras. 

"Y/N!" 

After enjoying themselves at the beach, Areum's driver stopped in front of a huge mansion before she let them know it was their place to stay. 

Their jaws dropped as they got out of the car, staring at the beautiful house in front of them. 

"Are we really staying here? " Y/N said as she stared at Areum in disbelief. "Wow, you sure are wealthy." 

Areum shrugged and proceeded to grab her bag before Sunghoon quickly grabbed it. "Don't worry, I'll take care of it." He said and Areum's heart skipped a beat. "The place is really nice, thanks for letting us spend time here." He smiled and Areum couldn't help but melt at how beautiful his smile was.

When they all got inside, Areum showed them the rooms where they'll be staying and showed them around the house. 

"Make yourself at home." She said and they all thanked her. 

She and Y/N were staying in her room meanwhile Jake, Sunghoon, Jay were in one room and Jungwon, Heeseung, Sunoo ,and Niki were in another.

"Thank you, Areum. The house is really great." Y/N smiled and hugged Areum as the latter patted her back.

"Anything for you." She said and Y/N chuckled. As they were organizing their things, Areum asked without looking at her friend. "How're things with Jay?" 

"We're good I guess."

"But what are you exactly?" She asked, now looking straight at her. 

The question took Y/N by surprise because she herself didn't know its answer. "We're friends?" Y/N said, unsure. 

"We both know you're anything but friends, Y/N," Areum said in a serious tone. "You might want to ask him about the kiss you two had on the school's rooftop because friends don't kiss." 

After organizing their things and putting new clothes on, they all headed downstairs to the garden where food was placed on a table. 

"Woah, who got this?" Jungwon asked.

"Mr. Jung got it for us," Areum said as she pointed to their driver.

"Thank you, sir," Jungwon said before they all bowed to him. "I'm so hungry and this looks so delicious." He said and rubbed his stomach.

"Everyone is here?" Jake asked as he counted them all. "Niki is missing, where is he?" 

"He's coming, he just had to use the bathroom," Heeseung replied and Jungwon sighed, not able to resist the food in front of him anymore. Seconds after Niki headed down and excused himself.

"I hope you had the time of your life." Jungwon smiled sarcastically as Niki stared at him confused, making everyone laugh.

Everyone started eating and enjoyed the soft breeze that played with their hair. Y/N was staring at her plate all the time, still thinking about what Areum said. It was true, her and Jay, what were they? 

Friends? Who was she kidding? 

Jay noticed that she wasn't eating and peeked at her. "Hey." He softly whispered among the loud laughter of the boys. She tilted her head up and looked at him. "What's wrong?"

"Oh? Nothing." She said and her cheeks turned to a soft pink at the small distance between their faces. Jay smiled and ushered her to eat and enjoy her time. 

How could she tell him that he was the problem? 

After eating and playing some games, they all sat and watched the stars as the soft breeze turned to a cold one. "Ah, I want ice cream," Niki said out of nowhere.

"I know right, I want it too," Sunoo said and everyone looked at each other. 

"Shall we get some?" Areum asked and they all nodded. "Alright, I'll go get-"

"No, I'll go," Y/N said making them all turn to her. "I want to take a walk so... I'll go." She added and covered her face in embarrassment.

"I'll go with you," Jay said and stood next to her. "It's late, it will be dangerous for you to go alone." He said and grabbed her hand as his friends widened their eyes. "We'll go now." He pulled Y/N with him before she could say anything.

Walking side by side, Jay never let go of her hand. Although she felt a little embarrassed, but the warmth of his hand on that cold night was all that mattered. So instead, she tightened grip on his hand. 

They both stayed silent for a moment before Y/N started talking, finding enough courage in her.

"Jay..." She said and the latter stopped walking, turning to face her. "Do you ever think about the kiss we shared?" She said all of a sudden, taking him by surprise. 

"I don't know about you, but it was my first..." 

Jay's eyes softened as he stared at her lowering her head. "I do." He said, making Y/N lift her head and slightly widen her eyes. "It might not be my first, but what's different is..." He grabbed both her hands and looked her right in the eyes. 

"It was the first time I kissed someone I truly love."

Y/N couldn't say anything and instead, she just stared at him as her eyes glistened.

"I love you, Lee Y/N." He confessed, finally saying the words he wanted to say for so long. "I don't know exactly when, but at some point, I fell for you-"

Y/N pulled him to her and crashed her lips on his. Fire lived within her kiss, melting every part of him. And he knew exactly what it meant. 

I love you too.
