The following two are coming out stories, based in reality. The first one based on a discussion I had with a friend about him coming out, and how scared he was for his family's reaction. I have his permission to retell it in this headcanon.

This one is about Azriel. So apart from the fact that I personally ship him with Rhys' dead sister, I often see him as Gay. And to the three people out there that know this, yes, the name Nico in this story is 100% taken from our gay Disney prince of the underwolrd Nico DiAngelo himself!

Azriel opened his eyes as the first rays of sunlight came into the room, calling him to get up and out. But Azriel turned to his side, facing Nico, the male that had mended Azriels heart, showing him what love was and is. Nico smiled, but held his eyes closed.

"Morning love." He said and Azriel moved closer.

"Morning." He said back, kissing Nicos lips. "I have a gift for you." It was there 230 anniversary, 230 years together... Azriel couldn't belive it.

"I hope it is something that keeps my awake at night..." Nico opened his eyes.

"I think it is better then that..." Azriel moved his wing over his lovers body. " Two weeks, on a island in the warm sea. Rhys thinks I need to go there to gather information. But it is for us, two weeks alone..." Nico sighed and moved away from Azriel.

"I was hoping you just could tell him that you wanted to travel of with me."

"You know I can't." Azriel started but Nico sighed again.

"Why not? For cauldrons sake Az! We have been in this secret relationship for two hundred years, it is time to tell them!"

"I can't!" Azriel got up, closing his fists.

"Because you are the Spymaster? Because Mor? Because Elain? Gwyn?" Nico shook his head. "I am getting tired of hiding Az."

"They are my family!"

"If they can't accept you for who you are, they are not your family." Nico screamed, forcing Azriel to look away. Fealing the blow the words made. It was not the first time they had this conversation.

"They are my brothers."

"In all but blood." Nico retorted. "What are you afraid of?" He had never asked him, just accepted it as it was and moved on. But now, Nico had had enough.

"Nico..."

"Az, What are you afraid of will happen?" He pressed on, focing an answer from Azriel.

"That I lose them!" Azriel screamed. "And If I lose them..."

"If you lose them because of this, they where never anyone to have around." He repeated his words, but in a whisper. "Az, you will lose me if you can't tell them."

Azril still looked away.

"Who will it be in the end? Me or them? Me, your lover, your boyfriend, your mate? Or them?"

"I... I can't lose them or you."

"Why are you so sure you will lose them?"

"Nico... "Azriel turned towards him. "For you did, you lost your friends, your family... I can't lose mine too..."

"Or I could gain one..." Nico got dressed. "You have a week, or I will leave the keys and go." He moved to the door. "And... My gift for you is in my nightstand, I know your old whetstone are mor or les just gravel right now..." Nico left, and Azriel swallowed. He opened the box and looked at the stone inside of it. Nico liked the grand things in life, like traveling, or good food, wine, clothes. But he respected Azriel's more modest way of looking at life. Like the fact that is was Nico that had bought a new pair of shoes to Azriel when his old ones gave up after 300 years. And Azriel had refused to get any new ones.
