𝐚𝐮𝐫𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐡𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐚 𝐛𝐚𝐠 of food in her hand. max had called out to tell her to bring him food since he's not gonna be able to come home tonight. she smiled when she scott enter as well, bring his mother food as well.
"hey, rori." he greeted.
"hey." she said back as the two of them walked deeper into the hospital. "your mom is over there." she told him, pointing over to melissa.
he looked over to her, the both of them making eye contact as scott held up the bag. aurora saw melissa smile as she began to walk towards them.
"i'm starving." she told her son, taking the bag. "oh, i'm sorry. i'm sorry. thank you for bringing me dinner." she said, hugging him
"is everything okay?" scott asked his mother, picking up on how stressed she was.
"except for half the accident victims in a ten car pile up being rerouted here from downtown, and the e.r. attending not answering any of his pages, yeah, i'm okay." melissa answered, making aurora raise her eyebrows.
she then looked around, a smile appearing on her face as max began to walk towards them. the older hastings let out a laugh before he began to jog towards them. he engulfed his niece into a hug, the girl letting out a laugh.
"you are a life saver." he told her, pulling away and taking the bag from aurora. "i am starving!"
"yeah, yeah." aurora smiled.
"excuse me, can i kinda have something for the pain?" a lady asked.
this made both max and melissa turn towards her, seeing that she was holding her stomach. scott and aurora looked at one another with knowing eyes.
"okay, i'm sorry, i know." melissa said before she started to guide the lady towards one of the seats. "but, actually, giving you something could complicate things, so we really just need to wait for the doctors."
"how much longer on dr.hilyard?" max asked one of the ladies at the desk.
"ten minutes." she answered, making him nod.
aurora gently slapped scott's arm, gesturing to the lady that had asked for something. "take some of her pain away. i would heal her, but that would cause suspicion."
scott nodded, sitting down next to the lady. "uh, you know, i think i read online that sometimes human contact can help with the pain."
the lady nodded, trying her best to contain her whimpers as she held her stomach. scott looked around to make sure that no one was look before he put his hand on her's. aurora smiled once she had seen scott's veins turn black as he began to take the lady's pain away. the lady gasped as she started to feel the pain vanish, looking at scott with a thankful look on her face.
