~One Week Later~
Jeon Jung-fucking-kook
Jimin glares at the boy, slowly playing with his pencil as he watches the scene play out. Jungkook laughs, her laughing with him. Normally an innocent sight... if it was with anyone other than Jungkook. Jin, Yoongi, Namjoon - literally anyone else. Jimin isn't mad, he's confused. Does Jungkook still like Y/N? Is that what's happening here? If that's the case, Jimin needs to talk with him as soon as possible. It's one thing to be friends; it's another to be giving her flowers, hugging her constantly, going out to the nature preserve at night and staring at the stars. He wants to know that boy's intention with his girlfriend. He wants to know now.
They're all sitting outside in between classes, Jimin working on his homework while Jungkook and Y/N are talking, Chaeyoung not too far away. Jin's pacing back and forth, eyeing the girl every once in a while. Is there something going on there Jimin doesn't know about? Maybe there is, who knows. If there is, he hopes it works out.
Before Jimin can move, a figure plops down next to him. "Hey Parkie, can I ask you something?" Jackson's voice says. "Sure?" he replies cautiously, wanting to get the conversation over with. "This is a little embarrassing to ask but... is there any way you can help me with basketball?" Jimin raises a brow, "help you with basketball?" "Yeah, like a tutor for sports." Jimin blinks, "you mean... a coach?" "Yeah, yeah. That." Gosh this boy. "Sure, I can try. We'll arrange times. Preferably before practice, maybe half an hour beforehand. I have stuff to do after." "I assume that 'stuff' is Y/N?" Jackson teases. Jimin softly smiles, looking over at the girl. He's slightly enraged by the sight of Jungkook coming closer to her, but he still loves looking at her.
"Yeah, yeah she is." "Alright alright, I get it, you're in love and I'm lonely. Understood. I'll talk to you after practice today, how about that?" Jackson questions, Jimin humming. "Sure, just let me know..." he half-heartedly says, barely paying attention anymore. "Disgustingly in love," Jackson murmurs before standing.
Him standing seems to catch the attention of the rest of their friend group, Chaeyoung looking up from her spot, her eyes widening. Jin notices her look and furrows his brows, clearly considering if he should talk to her or not. "Chaeyoung's looking at you dude," Jimin points out, Jackson letting out a breath. "Well, yeah. She's kind of my ex." "Kind of?" "Kind of," Jackson repeats, nodding, "I should get out of here before she says anything. Good luck Park."
Jimin doesn't even get the chance to reply as Jackson rushes away, Chaeyoung watching with an angered look in her eyes. Not a good relationship - got it. If Jimin were a betting man he'd say Jackson was the bad part of the relationship. Not that he's a bad guy, he's just... interesting. Sometimes he isn't the best with feelings.
Y/N walks over to Jin, whispering something in his ear before nudging him forward. The older man gulps, then sits down across from Chaeyoung, her eyes meeting his. Y/N snickers as she walks away, Jimin waving to get her attention. It works, her smiling as she comes to him. "What's up baby boy?" she asks with a toothy smile, sitting across from him. "Oh nothing, just wanted to see my girl," he cheekily replies, tapping his eraser against his paper. "Do you know where Taehyung is?" Jimin asks. Y/N purses her lips, "aren't you the best friend there?" Although she meant it in a teasing manner, Jimin frowns. "Good point. Oh well, I'm guessing Jin likes Chaeyoung?"
She hums, "a little. I'm the wingman. Or... wingwoman, if that exists." "It does now. I was hoping Tae was here so we could try and set him up with Jungkook." Y/N sighs, "guess we'll have to wait a little longer." She trails off, her eyes landing on something behind Jimin. He gives her a confused look before turning around.
