~One Week Later~
"I'LL KICK ALL YOUR ASSES RIGHT NOW!"
Everyone jumps at your words as you channel your inner soccer mom, hissing at your friends so they work faster. "Get those streamers up or I'll French kiss you!" you threaten. Chaeyoung smirks, "I'd be into that-" "I'll shave your precious locks." "Work on streamers. Got it. Understood," she instantly replies, gulping.
So, it's Jimin's birthday. Are you being a little overly bossy? A little, but this is really the first birthday you have with him. When you first got together, you were so new that it was a small celebration. Just some cake and clapping with extra cuddles and kisses. Now since you're a whole year into the relationship? Yeah, things are a little bit different. More important.
"How's it look?" Chae asks. You stroke your chin, looking around your decorated house. "Could use more kegs." "Y/N you're turning into your boyfriend," Tae points out. "Dammit," you huff. Jungkook and Tae laugh at your expense, setting up the vase of flowers on the kitchen counter. "Thank you guys for helping me, this birthday means a lot to him." "Twenty-one," Chae mumbles, you nodding and humming.
"I hope he likes everything," you say with a sigh. "Are you kidding? He's gonna faint babes," Chae cheers, giving your shoulder a nudge. Jungkook and Tae nod in agreement. "Is the cake done?" a new male voice asks. The others come down from the bedroom: they were grabbing their presents they had for Jimin. They stored them up there so they wouldn't get in the way of the decorations.
Jin hands you the card you got Jimin, you nodding your thanks. "It's ready, just cooling. Thank you for helping me bake it Jinnie." He smiles, "no problem, although it was mostly you while I watched." You almost snort, "I shouldn't be allowed near an oven, I have no idea what you're talking about."
The presents quickly get set up on the coffee table in the living room, signaling that everything's ready. There's a lot of beer (Jin went out and bought some), streamers of black and blue set up everywhere, a cake, presents, even a banner. Jimin always loves celebrating his friends' birthdays, but he doesn't really talk much about his own. That's why you wanted to make this special for him. He deserves it.
"Okay guys, he should be here any minute," Hoseok says, checking his phone. "It's been like ten minutes since his last class," he adds, the others nodding. "Get in position then!" you cheer. Just like that, the lights are turned off and everyone is hiding. Some are in the kitchen, meanwhile you're in the front with Jungkook and Taehyung. You're sandwiched in between them, hiding behind the couch.
After a full two minutes of waiting, the doorknob jiggles. Jungkook and Tae have to stifle their laughter. Ugh, goofy lovebirds. They're ridiculous sometimes. Why do you love them again? You bring yourself out of your thoughts to instead focus on the sound of the door opening. "Uh... baby?" Jimin calls, flicking the lights on. As soon as the lights burn your poor eyes, everyone jumps up. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY JIMIN!" everyone yells almost in perfect sync.
He yelps, eyes widening upon seeing everyone here. Jimin takes a moment, then breaks out smiling. "Hey guys, thank you so much," he chimes. Gosh he's so cute when he's smiling. "Don't thank us, who do you think has the brains to set this up?" Jin asks. "Definitely not you," Jimin instantly replies, "let me guess... my lovely girlfriend?"
You proudly smile, bouncing over to him to side-hug him. "Welcome home baby, and happy birthday to my big strong man." He pecks your lips, "I love you so much, thank you for getting this all together for me." Aww he's practically crying, how sweet. He's such a good guy, he's so good to you. The least you can do is throw him a surprise birthday party. Especially since he's twenty-one now.
