Winter

A/N: Happy Fourth of July to my fellow Americans <3 I hope you had a good celebration today!

~One Week Later || 3:00 p.m.~

"Thank you so much Min."

"Anything for my best girl," Jimin says, pecking her forehead while handing her the bouquet of flowers. He got a bunch of lilies since he didn't want to be too cliché with getting more roses. Y/N giggles, holding them close against her chest. "I love you Min. Happy four months." "I love you too, happy four months baby." He gives her a half-hug, smiling brightly as they walk down the walkway together.

He asked her to meet by the nature preserve so he could give her the flowers, but earlier when they met she gave him a whole ass set of rings. He's been meaning to get a lot of jewelry since he loves wearing it: now she's the supplier. He's not complaining, she has great taste. She's so cute.

"So... what's going on with Tae and Kook?" she asks, giving him a small smirk. Ah yes, interrogate Jimin since he lives with Taehyung. A great tactic. "I have no idea, but they're hanging out constantly. Tae won't tell me anything he just blushes and runs away whenever I ask about his other half."

She giggles, holding up her free hand. He high fives it, giggling with her before using his other hand to wrap around her waist and pull her up against him. "Our Cupid hearts are really working out, hm? First with Chin now with Taekook." "You're never gonna stop calling them Chin, are you?" Jimin questions, her pursing her lips in thought. "Hmm... nope!" she replies, popping the 'p' as she always does.

They depart the nature preserve, loving the way the cold air hits them. It's still winter, so there's a lot of school left. The second half of the year is always the most intense, and near spring when finals start... that's when things get hectic. He's not excited for it. When finals arrive, he'll probably have to cut back how much time he spends with her. Unless they study together but that'll be tough. He gets distracted easily.

"Penny for your thoughts?" she inquires, noticing his strange silence. He's never quiet for more than a couple minutes, so it makes sense that she's trying to find out what's wrong. "Oh nothing, I'm thinking of spring and finals. About how we might not see each other as much because of it. I'm not excited for summer for the first time in my life... I'll be so far from you, how will I last?"

She laughs, "I have no idea Min, but remember that we'll call every day and visit once a week. I'll come up to you a lot more." "But you hate driving," he points out. She shrugs, "but I love you, so I can make the sacrifice." He smiles, pecking the side of her head, "I can't believe we're here. Four months into our relationship." "I'm not surprised," she mumbles, nuzzling up against him, "we fit so well after all."

He keeps his dumb smile, looking at the other students walking around. Jimin's eyes narrow as he looks, noticing Jackson getting strangely close to... wait a second, is that Chaeyoung? What the hell is she doing here? Granted, they're near the library which is a popular spot, but why are both Jackson and Chaeyoung here?

"Babe," he whispers, nudging her shoulder, "is that Chaeyoung and Jackson?" She follows his gaze, noticing the two standing outside the library. "Yeah... oh no." "Jackson said he's her ex, why is he getting so close to her?" Jimin whisper-asks. "Let's go find out," she replies, speeding up her pace.

He follows as best he can, still being a little cautious about his leg. It's been over two months now, so he's off his crutches, but he can't run yet. He needs to be careful if he wants to play again in March. The man who knocked him over and caused his injury apologized a million times. Even though he plays for a different school in a different state, he drove all the way here a couple days ago to apologize again. What a sweetheart. Jimin thinks his name was Jay. Jimin really appreciates that there's people like that still in the world.
