Laura comes from New Jersey, as she moves to Outer Banks during 2014 summer, she finds herself already fitting in.
Kooks in particular.
Laura loves being reckless, you never know what she is going to do next. However, she drowns herself in her anxiety until she can't reach for air.
Diagnosed at age 6 with anxiety, having panic attacks almost 3-6 times a day since she was 14. She didn't even try medication, it made her feel numb, like she had no purpose. She has had therapy since 14, and it has helped, but she still suffers.
The kooks have their life set up for them already. They know where they are going to be in 10 years, working for their parents. Laura could never imagine that, although her father is not in her life, her mother inspires and encourages her to do what she wants in her life.
But a summer in 2014, she had moved to an unfamiliar place, called, the Outer Banks.
Little did she know, she already had an eye out for her.
Who knew that the boy she tried to fix, broke her to the point where he was doing the fixing.
