Narrator

Y/n was a rather simple girl. She attended a sleep away catholic school for all girls and was 'completely devoted' to her studies. It wasn't what she wanted, no, but it was what she got. Miles was a simple boy. He was homeschooled because his school would, and I quote, 'No longer be able to accept him back due to danger to other students.' Miles came out to watch the girls walk back to their dorms everyday. Though he found himself always looking for the same girl. She had noticed him several times before and even spoken to him on a few occasions. She just felt off about him... Today Miles swiftly pulled her into the woods with him, his grip bruising the girls sensitive skin. Her legs shook in fear as she thought of all that he was planning for her. She said Hail Mary's until Miles finally stopped. The two stared at each other, Y/n let out small moans of fear, unaware of the pleasure this was giving him. "I want you to spend the night at my home." Miles spoke up, his voice lacking emotion. "I-I can't. I have to be in bed f-for bed check." She informed him, in addition she had to go to dinner at 7:30 and her roommate would notice her absence. "I can pick you up after." Miles stepped towards her, making her jump back. "Come on baby... Don't be like that." Miles touched her hand and that was all she needed to set her off. She turned away and ran the opposite direction of the boy. She could hear his boots behind her as she ran, she wiped the tears from her cheeks. She ran between trees until she finally saw a clearing. She ran into it, looking up at the structure. It had to be where the boy lived. Miles stood behind her, ready to hear her whimpers and cries. His fingers tugged at her neat hair softly, making her try to stumble away. Only he had his arms on her waist, keeping her on his side. Miles looked over at her, staring into her fearful eyes, he wanted her to feel somewhat comfortable. "Come now darling, there is something for you." Miles carefully held her hand in his own, walking her towards the garden. She was slightly reluctant at first, dragging her feet and trying to pull away. Finally, she stopped whimpering and trying to leave, following behind him. 'Was this some form of Stockholm syndrome?' She asked herself. Miles sat her down on a bench and pulled her close to him. He leaned her head on his shoulder and ran his fingers through her Y/h/c hair. It was soft and neat and Miles had his urges to pull it. Instead, he introduced himself.

Y/n

"I'm Miles." He spoke out of the blue. I nodded slightly and closed my eyes. I was too calm, I needed to get back home but he'd catch me if I ran now. "I have a sister, her name is Flora... I take care of her, just like I'll take care of you." My lips quivered as his hand fell to my thigh. His touch was soft and somewhat comforting. "Are you going to hurt me? Do you have sexual intentions? I don't understand why you've brought me here." I lifted my head to look at him. "I just said, I want to protect you. As for sexual intentions, maybe later." He laughed a little as if he had told a joke so I let out a small, forced laugh. "Why do you go to that school if you hate it?" He looked over at me. "I don't hate it... I just don't want to be a nun... At this point I've just learned to suck it up... What about you? Where do you go?" He sighed and brought his hands up to my shirt, tracing my bra. I shivered as his fingers ran back and forth. "I'm homeschooled." He grumbled, I nodded as his fingers drug up my neck. "I don't like to talk about me though..." Miles pulled me closer to him and moved in on his part. My heart quickened and I tried to slow my breathing. He leaned in until our lips were faintly pressed together. "Are you afraid?" He whispered quietly. My eyes were screwed shut in fear yet I shook my head no. Miles unbuttoned the second and third button on my shirt and stuck his hand in, carefully placing his hand over my heart. I took his wrist and pulled it out of my shirt. He gripped my shirt and since I was pulling his hand out, our lips collided. All of my prayers that had been repeating in my head were gone. My mind was blank, completely. Miles lips were poisonous and the longer they collided with mine, the sicker I was getting. I pushed him off of me, standing up. I put my fingers onto my lips, they felt like they were burning. I stumbled away from him, mumbling prayers to myself. "Are you okay?" Miles had his hand gripped mine. "Don't touch me!" I yanked away from his grasp, running further into the garden. I could hear him coming after me again but I ran around randomly, trying to loose him. I sat down behind a well and shoved my palm into my forehead. "What is wrong with me?" I scolded myself for enjoying the feeling. There was a faint tap on my leg, making me open my eyes. I sucked in my breathe as I stared at the large spider on my leg. It moved closer to my skirt, I prayed it wouldn't come any closer. Miles stepped next to me and reached down, scooping it off of me. He sat down next to me, letting the spider crawl over his hands. "You should stop running away from me." Miles sat down and set the spider on the dirt. "I could let you stay here with me, you know." I studied his expensive boots. "My parents would never allow that." I leaned against the well, crossing my legs. "Plus, I wouldn't want to stress your mother." I added, looking back at his very large home. "Well, you don't have to worry about stressing her." I listened as the gravel crunched, making me turn back to him. He was laying on his back now, staring at the cloudy sky. I laid down next to him. "What are you on about? Of course it'd be stressful for her." He sighed and grabbed my hand, making me shiver. I looked over at him, holding my breath. His head turned to mine, his deep brown eyes looked so innocent and so evil at the same time. "She's dead. Both my parents are." My eyes widened and I wondered how it had happened. I started to pity the boy, who did he live with? "My sister and the current governesses' name is Kate." I hadn't realized I actually asked him who he lived with and I probably looked utterly stupid asking him that. "I'm Flora." I looked over at the new voice, a little girl, maybe five or six, was crouched down. She was digging in the dirt, I assumed she was drawing. The small girl got up and wiped her hands on the expensive dress, walking over to us. "Why are you dressed like that?" She leaned over us, looking at my outfit. "It's my schools uniform, I have to wear it." I could feel her eyes running over my body. "Miles, can you come play with me later? You're busy now." She said the statement like he might not know he was busy. "Sure, I'll be in before dark." She looked at us and suddenly his hand felt hot in mine, I wanted to pull away but he held me still. "You'd better, everyone is waiting and we have to do you know what before dinner!" She turned back to the house, walking inside. "Your sister is cute." I didn't know what to do now, I really did need to head back. "I know, I care about her a lot." I smiled and relaxed at the thought that he did in fact have feelings. "Tomorrow I want you to pack up your stuff and wait in the woods. I'll take you home and you can live with us." My chest got tight, like I forgot how to breathe. "I don't know if I can— Why me?" I asked him, studying the clouds. "I've been watching you. I think you're perfect for me." My nose scrunched up, he thinks I'm just going to fall in love with him! "You know you can't just make me your girlfriend." I gulped, praying he wouldn't react terribly. "I know you think I'm handsome and you'll like my personality." I scoffed, "Who said I thought you were handsome?" He sat up, propping himself up on his elbow. "You know I can see the way you look at me, right? I've studied the human body." I blinked stupidly at him, I had nothing more to say. "So, I'll see you tomorrow then. I'd better walk you back to the school grounds." Miles stood up and pulled me with him. I brushed my uniform down and grabbed his hand again. "So you do want to hold my hand." I rolled my eyes at him, "I didn't mean to." He shrugged and pulled me closer to him. "I know you did." He kissed the top of my head, making me say a quick prayer to myself. "Do you even like this school? Why are you here?" He asked, walking between trees. "Well, my parents sent me here when they found my diary." I bit my lip at the thought of how upset they were after reading it. "What'd it say?" He helped me over a log. "It was a plan..." I shook my head and closed my eyes, stopping for a minute. "A plan to kill someone." I opened my eyes and saw the grin on his face. "Why are you smiling?" I asked, embarrassed by his reaction. "You're more perfect then I thought! Do you think I've never written a plan to murder someone? It's a rush, right! I'm so happy I chose you! Can I kiss you again?" I was stunned by everything he had just said, he pressed his lips onto mine again, his hands in my hair. "God, you are so perfect!" He was smiling and he pulled me, continuing to walk. "You know what, just get your stuff now, I'll be waiting right here for you." Miles stood in the woods as I rushed into the dorms. I put a hand on my forehead, trying to decide whether to go with him or not. I suppose he was very interesting and not to mention, as he said, very attractive in my eyes. Maybe I would go with him. I unlocked my dorm and saw that my roommate was asleep. I quickly grabbed my suitcase and packed my stuff. I would go with him. I had to, I couldn't handle this shit hole for one more second. I grabbed the last of my things and went into the bathroom to change. I changed into a plain black dress with a white collar. I put on some black thigh highs and a pair of shoes with shiny buckles. The outfit was almost the opposite of my uniform. I tied a ribbon around my neck and ripped the crucifix necklace from around my neck, laying it on the table. I grabbed a marker from off of Liza's desk and took the picture of Mary off my side of the wall. I scribbled a quick 'Fuck this' onto the wall. I smiled and set the marker down. I grabbed my suitcase and ran out of the building, making sure no one saw me. I ran to Miles and he was still smiling. I engulfed him in a hug, lifting my legs off the ground. He wrapped his arms around my waist, spinning me around. I laughed and took a deep breath. He set me down and took my suitcase. "Thank you Miles." We started to walk to his house. "I like your new outfit." He said instead of 'You're welcome'. I looked down at it, happy to be out of the same outfit I'd worn for three years. Washing it every night was a fucking pain. I felt free. I was free with him. This time he took me through a longer way in the woods. We passed a stream where he stopped to clean something off of his boots. "Do you mind if I do something?" I asked. He shook his head and I turned around, cupping my hands over my mouth. "I'm fucking free!" I screamed as loud as I could. I heard Miles snicker and turned back to him. "What? Don't tell me you've never felt free before?" He shook his head, "I have, I just didn't show the way I felt about it like that." I shook my head, "You should, it feels great. What're you cleaning off your shoes that's taking so long?" I asked him, leaning over to see. The water he used ran a faint red-brown color. "Blood." He stood up and looked down at them. "From what?" I asked before I allowed myself to get nervous. "Fish, I stepped on one earlier today because some birds were eating it alive. I did what I had to..." he stared at himself in the water. I guess that was a reasonable thing... Miles didn't look too sure about it. He had saved me so now I would save him. I would save him from himself, something his obviously needed. I stepped next to him, placing a kiss onto his cheek. "I think that you did a good thing. Now, you told Flora you'd be back before dark." He nodded and grabbed my bag from the rock he'd set it on. "We're almost there..." he took my hand and helped me across the stream. We walked quietly the rest of the way to his house. He led me inside and upstairs to a room that was filled with expensive furniture. "Here, this is my room. Wait here while I go play with Flora." I nodded and he kissed my forehead, leaving and shutting the door behind himself. I sat down on his bed and looked around for something that would help me get to know him better. He had some instruments in the corner, I smiled at the though of him playing the drums or the bass. I looked under his bed to see some spiders. I gagged and sat back up, staring at the ceiling. I remembered my Liza telling me people telling me people hide all their secrets in their closets. I walked over and opened his, looking at its contents. Inside was a variety of dull clothes, some of them with holes. I reached my hand onto the top shelf, blinding searching for something. His door opened and I stepped away, looking at the new person. This must be Kate. "Who are you?" She asked, I shut the door to his closet and gave a weak smile. "Would you believe me if I said I was Miles' girlfriend?" Her eyes got wider, making me let out a small giggle. "That's not possible." She finally shot back. "It is true." I was so happy to see Miles behind the woman. "Miles, she- this- what?" She looked back and forth at us. "This is Y/n and she'll be staying with us. No objections so get out of my room." Kate began to protest but Miles stepped in front of her and shut his door, locking it and keeping the key in the hole. "That's Kate." I shrugged, "Thought so."
