her name was Dolores ☂

'What's the date?' Five asks, walking around the kitchen. 'The exact date.'

The rest of our siblings stare on with mild surprise at the newest arrival, though this event must be on the lesser side of the crazy scale.

'March twenty-fourth,' I say automatically.

Five's gaze meets mine once more and he frowns, an unfathomable expression covering his face.

'That's good.'

That's good?

'So, are we going to talk about what just happened?' Luther asks with a hint of confusion. 'It's been 17 years.'

'It's been a lot longer than that,' Five shoots back.

He places two pieces of bread down on the table, then blinks over to the cupboard.

'I haven't missed that.' Luther grunts.

'Where'd you go?' Diego asks.

'The future,' Five says casually. 'It's shit by the way.'

'Called it!' Klaus whoops, slapping his hand on the table.

I roll my eyes.

'You know, I should've listened to the old man. Jumping through space is one thing, jumping through time is a toss of the dice.' Five continues, glancing up at Klaus. 'Nice dress.'

'Well danke!' Is Klaus's response.

'Wait, how did you get back?' I ask.

After a relatively short hesitation- 'In the end, I had to project my consciousness forward into a suspended quantum state version of myself that exists across every possible instance of time.'

'Huh,' I say. 'Okay.'

'That makes no sense,' Diego says.

'It would if you were smarter,' Five says.

Diego growls.

'So what, you're 58?' Alison asks.

'My mind is. Apparently, my body is 16 again.' Five replies.

'How does that even work?'

'She said the equations were off but....' Five trails off. 'It doesn't matter.'

'She?' Klaus sits up. 'Who's she?'

Five pointedly ignores this.

'Guess I missed the funeral,' He says, picking up the newspaper.

'How did you know about that?' Luther asks.

'What part of the future do you not understand?' Is Five's smart-ass response. 'Heart failure, huh?'

'Yes.' I say.

'No.' Luther says.

'Hmm,' Five clicks his tongue. 'Nice to see nothings changed.'

'You aren't going to ask who I am?' I tip my head to the side.

Five stares at me. 'I know who you are.'
