IT'S BEEN 30 minutes since we realized Beatrice and Tommy went missing. No one has moved a muscle. Some of us have fallen asleep, and some of us have eyed the door like a hawk.

"I think we should go check now." My eyes were getting droopy. I figured as soon as my head hit a pillow, I would pass out.

"We shouldn't, but I'm not gonna push you, because I know you would go anyway. So I guess I'll go up there with you." Nadine stands up, he put his hand out for me to grab. I kindly reject his offer and stand up on my own.

Nadine laughs with a scoff, he walks away and waits for me at the stairs. We slowly walk up the stairs. The creaking from our footsteps filled the void of silence in the room.

I twisted the doorknob, slowly turning it to the left before pushing the door open to reveal blood trails.

My hand instinctively goes to cover my nose and mouth. I look up at Nadine, and look at that. He's not phased at all.

Wow.

There were handprints of blood on the wall. Bodies scattered everywhere. And a the same letters drawn on every flat surface. The symbol was drew out of blood. It was a "RT". What the hell does RT mean?

"We should split up-" I start.

"No." Nadine cut me off, "And before you try to talk back, remember that with my parents missing. I'm next in command. So that makes me your temporary Boss until further notice ." He gives me a smile mixed with a smirk.

I exhaled slowly, giving him a sign that he was annoying me. We began walking around. Constantly having to step over the dead bodies trailed everywhere.

In all honesty, I was looking for my parents more than Beatrice and Tommy.

Sorry.

"Do you think they fought back?" I ask, turning towards him. He looks at the ground and smirks.

"If they did. They didn't put up a good fight." He moves someone's hand out of his way, using his foot. He leans down and turns the body over.

Nadine's eyes fill with shock. "This is our best guard here. How the hell did he die?"

I walk over to him and look at the body. His lips are blue, and then there's a bullet wound on his chest.

"He could have been poisoned." I reach down and touch his lips. "But it's just a theory." I shrug.    I think Nadine is in shock. He's not saying anything, or giving a snarky response. "Are you okay?" I ask.

"I'm fine. I'm just confused about all this."

I suck in a deep breath and sigh.

"I think we should go check the front lawn." Nadine suggests. I give him a confused stare.

"Why?" I ask. He looks at me as if I'm dumb.

"Maybe there's foot prints or tire marks from the cars they used." This man is smart. But how would he know if someone came and shot up the place. What if everyone just went crazy and started shooting each other. It could have been the Russians. It could have been us.

Not everyone gets along in our Mafia.

Past drama.

"How do you know someone took them? What if our mafia just... lost control?" I ask. He raises an eyebrow.

"Because the symbol on the wall, 'RT' stands for Russian territory." Nadine says pointing to the wall.

"You think the Russians did all this?" I place my fingers on my temples and start rubbing soothe circles, attempting to calm me down.

"I know they did. We've been rivals for along time now. Did you not know this?" He asks, a confused look spread on his gorgeo- I mean, face. Spread on his face. Just face.

"No." I'm not around my Mafia. Think of it as being homeschooled. My mom is too scared I'd get hit too hard, or stabbed. Yet she still let my father train me and Alex. Which- that's almost as bad, maybe even worse.

He nods his head in understanding, but eyes me a few times with a suspicious glare.

We make it outside and start looking for any sort of clues that could tell us what happened.

I squatted down, "investigating" a trail of blood in the grass. It looked like some had been dragged through here.

"Nadine, look at this." He slowly walks over to me and squats down. He trails his fingers in the blood, Lifting them up and inspecting it.

"Let's go to the back." He stands up and waits till I follow him.

The back is worse than the front.

When we go towards the door where there was supposed to be guards, all we see is blood. Along with the brains of the now dead guard.

There's only one guard though.

I cover my eyes, not really liking the idea of seeing this in one of my night terrors I'm sure I'll be having tonight.

"What should we do?" I ask, my hands still over my eyes.

From the small crack where my fingers part, I can see Nadine's expression. He looked dazed for a moment but quickly covers it up. "We should get some sleep and plan this all out in the morning."

I was with him on this. I'm so tired. I couldn't help but nod my head, and give a forced smile.

We went inside forgetting about the crime scene placed in the house.

"We'll clean up in the morning." He looks down at the floor, and walks over the bodies, making sure not to step in them.

We went back down to the basement. Almost everyone was sleeping. Beatrice and Tommy were still missing. But we're gonna have to check that out in the morning.

No one was worried about that anyway.
