The very last week of the school year came around too quickly. When I walked into the choir room, I noticed the room was so sad. Everyone was quiet, not daring to speak, each of my friends with a big frown on their faces. I knew it was hard for them to be leaving everything behind, but like Blaine said, we would just have to take it as it comes.

I sighed and stepped to the center of the room. I noticed Ryder giving me a proud smile. "It's the last week of school, you guys!"

"I don't want it to end," Tina said sadly, slumping down in her chair.

"Yeah," Artie agreed, "we have been spending every afternoon since freshman year in this room."

I looked around the room, at all the sad faces staring back at me, and I pulled some sheet music out of my backpack. "Mr. Schue said to us that we had to find a 'goodbye' song, yeah?" I started passing the sheets out to the band. "You have all taught me that no matter how lost or sad I am, there's always going to be someone to catch you when you fall. You've proved to me that even the outcasts have someone. Thank you for being there for me through this roller coaster of a year." The music began to play and I saw my friends frowns grow into big smiles. I was glad I could make them feel so much better, just with a little song.

Sometimes you get what you want
Sometimes you get what you don't
Sometimes ya get nothing at all

And when it finally comes round
You tear it up, break it down, down
'Til there's nothing at all

I used to be so in control
No one could ever touch me
I'd tell myself I'd never fall
And nobody would catch me

As the song hit a climax, I made eye contact with Ryder and I pointed straight at him.

You shot your love through my defenses
And left me wide open
Feels like my feet can't touch the ground
That's what you've done to me

I crossed the room to the beat of the song, moving in between the band guys. They smiled brightly at me and we jammed out to the song together, dancing with each other, bouncing up and down to the beat.

I'm a rocket to the sun
I'm a heartbeat on the run
That's what you've, what you've done to me
I'm a bullet I can fly
When you kiss me I could die
That's what you've, what you've done to me

Sometimes you love but they don't,
Sometimes they love but you won't
Sometimes ya just can't figure it out

My planets aligned
And there's no doubt in my mind

Baby, you shot your love through my defenses
And left me wide open
Feels like my feet can't touch the ground
That's what you've done to me

I'm a rocket to the sun
I'm a heartbeat on the run
That's what you've, what you've done to me
I'm a bullet I can fly
When you kiss me I could die
That's what you've, what you've done to me

Ooh hoo ooh hoo, done to me
Ooh hoo ooh hoo, done to me

I'm a rocket to the sun
I'm a heartbeat on the run
That's what you've, what you've done to me

I used to be so in control
No one could ever touch me
I'd tell myself I'd never fall
And nobody would catch me

I'm a rocket to the sun
I'm a heartbeat on the run
That's what you've, what you've done to me
I'm a bullet I can fly
When you kiss me I could die
That's what you've, what you've done to me

I'm a rocket to the sun
I'm a heartbeat on the run
That's what you've, what you've done to me
I'm a bullet I can fly
When you kiss me I could die
That's what you've, what you've done to me
And nobody would catch me

Ooh hoo ooh hoo ooh hoo
Ooh hoo ooh hoo ooh hoo
And nobody would catch me
Ooh hoo ooh hoo ooh hoo
Ooh hoo ooh hoo ooh hoo

I'm a rocket to the sun
I'm a heartbeat on the run
That's what you've, what you've done to me
I'm a bullet I can fly
When you kiss me I could die
That's what you've, what you've (done to me)

When I finished the song, ending on a high note, I ended in a bow. All my friends applauded for me, cheering, and praising my performance. "I'm going to miss you guys so much!" I said to the seniors, leaning over to give Artie a big hug.

I sat down beside my boyfriend, and he leaned over and pressed a kiss to my cheek. "That was amazing, Mar," he murmured against my skin.

"I know I dedicated that to everyone else," I whispered, "but I really want you to know that song was mostly for you."

"Less than a week until graduation!" Mr Schue declared with a clap, rushing into the choir room.

"Aaaand we're all depressed!" Tina finished his sentence for him.

"Tina, no," he laughed. "this is an exciting time. It's very bittersweet, I know. It's going to be sad leaving what you've known for the past four years, but at the same time all of this has been working towards your future. And I believe you're going to do even greater things out there."

Brittany ran her hand over her ponytail, "This is so depressing."
