Chapter 38 - How Ya Doin'?

I turned up to Unique's house at the very same time as Tina. We greeted each other at the end of the driveway and skipped up to the front door together. The house was a single story one with dark bricks and two green garages. On the front step of the house there was a cat lying in the sun's path. I bent down to pet it while Tina knocked on the big yellow door. The cat seemed to like me; it was always rubbing up against my legs every time I pulled my hand away. I wondered if it was Unique's cat. 

"Hey, girlies!" Unique called out, opening up the front door for us. I looked around Unique's house as she lead the way to her bedroom."Kitty is here already, by the way, so the whole gang is officially here!" 

Unique opened the door to her bedroom and Kitty was lying across the queen bed, a big book in her hands. "Hey bitches," she laughed, rolling across the bed, and jumping off, landing on her feet. 

Unique's room was incredible - she was so lucky. She had three mirrors along the right and the opposite wall had a window. The wall the bed rested against was dark red with a big painting, and on the other wall was a mirror, with some makeup scattered along the bench and Unique's wigs.

"So, my parents are out for a while..." Unique crawled onto the bed. "You know what that means!"

"Gossip time!" We all sung.

After hours of gossiping, talking, and laughing, the phone mom had let me borrow for the night started to ring, vibrating against the wooden table. I got off the bed slowly and looked at who was calling me - who other than Ryder. 

I grinned and was about to answer it, but Tina snatched it out of my hands. "Girl night, Marley!"

"Wait!" Kitty shouted and took the phone from Tina. "Let's answer this one Little Mix style." She opened the phone and sung into the microphone; 

Kitty: 
Hey, how ya doin'?
Sorry you can't get through

All:

Unique:
