One and Only

5. Traitors.

   It is the next day after me and Draco's date. I woke up to Pansy shaking me awake.

"Wake up sleepyhead!" She said shaking me.

"Ok ok I'm up." I said sitting up, rubbing my eyes.

"The boys left, tell me everything about last night!"
She said sitting down next to me.

I told her everything, every little detail about our date. It was heavenly, it didn't feel real. The most crazy thing I can't believe is, I think Draco likes me.

"Oh my god no way! He's totally into you!" Pansy said nearly jumping on the bed.

"I don't know if he does or not I mean, he's Draco right?" She looked at me confused.

"Just because he's Draco doesn't mean he's totally not into you. On the other hand I think he is, especially after everything you just told me. I mean he asked for a goodnight kiss, he opened the door for you, he kissed your hand not to mention after he took care of you, like that's not even all that happened." I couldn't stop smiling at what she said. Maybe she is right, maybe he does really like me.

"Anyways we best be off to our classes, I'll see you during free period?" She nodded. I got ready and made my way down to the great hall where I met everyone.

Draco although didn't make eye contact with me. I thought it was rather odd, but maybe it's because he didn't want anyone to know about what happened last night.

Charms went well, it was a bit boring but it was time for free period. I decided to take a walk outside on my own. I walked around the school grounds for a while until I walked past the lake. I saw two familiar people sitting on a blanket, looking as if they were on a date.

I can recognize that platinum blonde hair boy from anywhere. Malfoy. He is on a date with? I looked closer and saw a familiar black haired girl. Pansy?!

I could not believe my eyes, the guy I went on a date with last night and my best friend? I ran. My "best friend" betrayed me. I ran all the way back to the common room and up to my dorm.

Blaise's POV

During free period, I was sitting alone in the common room reading a book. I heard the common room door open and slam shut almost immediately after. I look up and I see Amber, crying, and running up to our dorm.

I quickly shut my book and ran after her. "Amber?!" I said but the door slammed shut and she locked it. "Amber?" I asked more calm this time.

"Go away." Was all I heard besides muffled crying.

I knocked on the door. "Amber open up, it's me, Blaise." I said calmly trying to open the door.

"No go away." She said again, crying.

"Come on Bear, I'm your best friend, open up." There was silence. Then I heard her get up and unlock the door.

Amber's POV

I didn't know what to do, so I locked the door and slid down it crying. I can't believe he would do this, I can't believe she would do this. She knows I like him. A knock on the door interrupted my thoughts.

"Amber?!" I heard a voice call. The person knocked on the door repeatedly, trying to open it.

"Go away." Was all I managed to say in between sobs.

"Amber open up it's me, Blaise." He said really worried.

"No go away." I said again. 

"Come on Bear, I'm your best friend, open up!" He was right, he is my best friend, more of a best friend than anyone else, especially her. I stood up, unlocked the door and went and sat on my bed.

He walked in calmly and sat down next to me. I just sat there crying softly into my knees. He rubbed my back gently.

"I'm here if you wanna talk Bear." He said, genuinely sad.

I looked up at him and hugged him. His hugs always comforted me. I cried softly into the crook of his neck.

"It's Draco..." I whispered into his neck.

"What about Draco?" He asked , brushing through my hair with his fingers.

"I s-saw him with P-Pansy." I hugged him tighter.

"What do you mean you saw him with Pansy?" He asked panicked.

"It looked as if-f they were on a d-date at the l-lake." I said beginning to sob harder.

"Hey, hey it's okay, breath darling, breath. I'm going to fix this I promise." He said so calming. I began to slow down my breathing at his words.

"I cannot believe him. After all you guys did last night. I'm gonna kill him." I pulled away from the hug.

"I know, me neither." He kissed my forehead.

"Do you want me to talk to him?" He asked putting hair behind my ear.

"No. Just ignore him." I said, resting my head on his shoulder.

"How long are you going to ignore him?" He asked, pulling my hair behind my shoulders.

"Until he realizes what he's done." I said threateningly.

He pulled me back into one of his hugs and kissed the top of my head. I don't know what I would do without him, he saves me every time I'm at my lowest.

I decided to skip the rest of the classes today and Blaise stayed with me, comforting me the whole time. He even made me laugh a few times at his nonsense. He convinced me to go to dinner with him at the Great hall, so we were getting ready.

He wiped my tear stained face off with a wet washcloth, making me look good as new. We got dressed in our robes and head down to the Great hall, hand in hand. We both took a deep breathe before entering.

Once we sat down we both started eating since we didn't go to lunch today. He was eating rather fast and choked on his food which made me laugh super hard.

That's when the platinum blonde hair traitor sat down across from me, next to Blaise. Me and Blaise immediately stopped laughing and looked down.

"Hey guys" Draco said confused as to why we didn't greet him first.

Silence.

Me and Blaise continued to eat, slower this time.

"Hello? Blaise? Amber?!" Draco asked, grabbing an apple.

Silence.

After a few minutes of complete silence, besides the people around us, I stood up and left.

"What's up with you guys?" Draco asked slightly panicked.

"You messed up." Blaise mumbled before leaving and joining me in the corridor.

Draco sat, confused as to what just happened. While me and Blaise went for a walk outside.

"Well that went well." Blaise said breaking the peaceful silence.

"I can't believe he's so clueless." I mumbled looking at the ground. Blaise didn't say anything, he continued to enjoy the peaceful grounds of Hogwarts.

We continued our walk in complete silence until it turned dark. Which then we decided to go back to the Slytherin common room to sleep. There is no way we would sleeping in the same room as traitors. So we both cuddled up on the black leather couch in-front of the green fire and fell asleep.
