One and Only

41. Manor.

Draco was exactly where I left him in our dorm. He was reading some sort of textbook.

I walked in and directly fell onto my stomach next to Draco and groaned.

"Where'd you go?" He asked setting down his book and placing one of his hands on my back.

I lifted my head up like a fish. "To take a walk but people had to ruin it of course." I set my head down on its side facing Draco.

He continued to rub my back.

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"Nothing crazy happened. Just stuff I don't want to deal with." I explained.

"Well good thing we don't have to deal with it much longer." He said.

"What do you mean?"

"Well after we finish our exams we have summer break and I was wondering if... you'd like to stay with me and my mum at the manor..." he explained.

I propped myself up on my elbows, resting my chin in my hands.

"Really?" A smile creeped up onto my face.

"I mean I know your home isn't safe and you're miserable every time you stay there and-"

"I'd love to Draco." I interrupted.

He smiled and leaned down, planting a kiss on the top of my head.

"Perfect." He smiled again.

                         - transfiguration exam -

I walked into my 4th exam and sat down near the middle of the classroom.

I pulled out my quill, ink and extra parchment while everyone else filed in and took their seats as well.

Once everyone was seated Professor McGonagall began walking through the procedures we've all heard in all of our other exams.

She soon finished and passed out the tests.

Most of my exams have been rather hard considering I missed an immense amount of classes due to... tragic events.

As soon as she set mine down and I looked at the first question and panicked.

This is probably going to be one of my hardest exams. I never pay attention in this class.

About 3/4 of the way done with the test, the doors burst open with Dumbledore and a few other professors following close behind.

"AMBER! AMBER KINGSTON!" He shouted and everyone turned except me.

He and the others quickly made their way towards me.

"Professor Dumbledore they are in the middle of an exam." McGonagall said annoyed.

"This is important Minerva. Come with me Kingston." He grabbed my arm and pulled me out of my chair.

He pulled me out of the class quicker than I thought he could walk.

He led me to his office along with all the others streaming behind. He sat me down in a chair in the middle of an empty room with all the professors surrounding me.

"Amber. Neville swears he saw you kill Ronald. So Severus searched his mind and saw exactly what he saw..." he began.

Fucking hell. This is it, I'm gonna be expelled. Who even cares at this point.

"You're the one who did it. You can't get yourself out of this, we all saw it." Dumbledore finished.

"Professor you act like I have a choice." I scoffed. "I wouldn't even consider killing anyone, especially my best friend if I wasn't forced into it."
