47) The Broken Promise

*Inpu's pov*

"IM GOING TO KILL HIM FOR LIEING! IM GOING TO DRAG HIM TO THE PITS OH HELL TO SUFFER!" I yelled tears streaming down my face. I couldn't take it, not like this not by a damn stupid lie. Not like this, please anything but this.

"Inpu please calm down we can talk about this!" I heard Xylo yell and out of frustration I grabbed him and threw him to the nearest fountain before grabbing Cal and doing the same thing.

"He's going to die!" I yelled before more hands grabbed me.

"Sorry can't let you do that." I heard Ritchie say

"He may be a jerk but he's our dad." Brandon said

"Killing him won't solve a thing." Lucas said

"Inpu! Would Bryan be happy with you doing this!" I heard Cal yell and he grabbed me. I froze and thought. Bryan wouldn't be happy, he doesn't like the idea of violence as every choice to take. I slowly felt hands be removed from me before I felt two people hug me.

"Calm down Inpu. Please I don't think you want to scare Artemis." Xylo said

"I promised him." I said my voice cracking as more tears streamed down my face.

"You promised him?" Cal asked

"I told him I would be back to take care of him. He's hurt and needs me but now I can't be there." I said hugging Xylo and Cal.

"Hey. Hey it'll be ok I'm sure he'll understand when you get back to him." Xylo said

"He's going to be so worried about Artemis and me." I said

"I know, I know. Just relax ok?" I heard Xylo say as I nodded crying slowly.

*Xylo's pov*

Inpu's voice was so broken he clearly held this promise of coming back to Bryan to heart and now he can't keep it. I can understand not being able to keep promises they hurt when you break them. Inpu cried and I looked over and the mages around.

"Sorry. As you can tell my friend takes promises seriously." I said

"I feel bad for him." Blake said

"Not much we can do in that matter unfortunately." Cal said

"Hey come on Inpu let's get to a room alright and let calm down and talk ok?" Cal said as I helped Inpu up.

"Sure." He said between sobs.

"You guys can continue your conversation we're going to make sure Inpu goes to sleep. Inmo you coming?" I asked

"Ya I'm coming but after this I'm exploring Salode." Inmo said and I nodded

"Alright keep us updated on him. I know our dad tricked us but he's still the king here. The country would go down hill without him." Brandon said

"I'll keep that in mind." Cal said and we walked with Inpu to an empty room.

"Hey Inpu you calming down?" I asked

"...ya." he said his voice a bit dry.

"I know this must be super upset for you but please understand that we can't do anything bad here." Cal said

"I know it's just... Bryan's had a hard enough time without me. He'll beat himself up over the fact that I'm not there with Artemis he'll think that the Seductive Rose got to us or worst because that's how he thinks." Inpu said

"Hey if anything I'm sure Magnus can keep him calm and collective. They've been around you long enough to know how to calm Bryan down right?" Cal said

"Ya plus you have to stay strong for him as well. Don't beat yourself up because you can't see him. You have to move forward and find a way out so that you can come to him and hug him with all your might." I said
