『Well you know what they say...』

Day forty-three: title this yourself. I've already named 43 others ;-;

Aizaw walked into the girls room like he did the past two day. He's unsurprised to see Eri already fully awake. "Are we seeing Izuku today?" She asks hopefully, swinging her legs from the side of her raised bed. The man, Aizawa sighs. It's not an annoyed sigh more of a sad sigh. Eris been asking the same question for three days. And the answer sadly has been the same for those three days.

"I'm not sure Eri. We need to make sure it's safe before you can leave this room. The same goes for Izuku. We want to protect you, so until I get the word that your father is down I can't let you leave."

Eri tilts her head at his answer. "I won't leave, I just want to see my brother." Aizawa laughs tiredly. He does not get paid enough for this. "I know but your father-"

"You won't kill father will you?" Eri interrupts. Her red eyes hold sadness at the thought. "If you make him leave he'll take Izuku with him." She elaborates. Aizawa raises a bow. "What do you mean kid?"

The girl taps her cheek. "I don't know but I once heard father says he always follow Izuku. And when brother asked even in death, he said that Izuku will only die by him. Doesn't that mean if you kill father, brother will die too?"  The scruffy man shakes his head. There is way to much to unpack here. And for god sake, why is he here at 8 in the god damn morning?!

"Father holds control of Izuku you know." Eri speaks again. "Izuku can block it sometimes but father always knows."

"Always?" Aizawa asks.

"Always." Eri repeats.

"That's why we need to protect you from him." The man tells the girl. "So you need to kill him?" Eri asks again.

Aizawa pauses trying to think of ways to explain. How do you tell a child she's been kidnapped only for her quirk and forced to play house with the biggest super villain while also having her memories erased and re modelled.

He can't seem to find a way so he drops the conversation. Instead he stays as the girl eats breakfast, then  leaves only to return with a new colouring book and a portable tv.

The rest of the morning was spent watching my little pony and colouring in drawings of cats. Aizaw did pocket one to take home and stick on his fridge. With eris full consent and an autograph.

"Father is a bad man," Eri says out of nowhere. Breaking the silence that had fallen over the room. The tv had long since finished playing and the colouring book was filling up fast.

Aizawa looks up locking eyes with her. He doesn't know where this is going but it sounds promising.

"He does bad things when he thinks we're not looking," she continues. "But he loves us." She says firmly. Aizawa opens his mouth to argue but the girl cuts in. "He does, I'm sure of it." She nods.

"Kid I know it's hard. But you sound like you're trying to convince yourself not me." Aizawa says softly from his perch by the door.

Eri furrows her brows looking down. "I don't know what you mean. I'm not the location, but he loves me anyway."

Aizawa stares at the floor hearing the girls words. "Does he know you're here?" He asked finally looking up. Eri mulls it over in her head. "No," she says. Aizawa let's out a breath he didn't know he was holding. His grip on the radio at his hip loosened and he almost chuckles.

He's about to scold the girl lightly for worrying him, but she speaks up. "But he knows Izuku is. And where Izuku is I'm likely to be."

Well shit. Things just got sticky.
