Chapter 473

Matt's POV: Once we finished eating lunch (and feeding the babies...who fell back asleep soon after), I smiled as I went to put Hannah back in her crib. That's when I decided to grab some of my sweats since we needed to calm down. Between everything we have been through when it comes to loosing our home and stuff, we didn't need to be naked in bed...instead we needed to rest and just stay calm. Gabby looked at me when she saw me in my sweats. "Really?" I nodded when she asked me that. "Yes. We need to relax and not even think about having sex." Gabby laughed and nodded when I said that. "You're right."

I smiled when she said that and was about to join her in bed when Gabby looked up at me. "Can you get me my sweats too? With maybe one of your t-shirts." I smiled when she said that and nodded. Going to grab one of my t-shirts from my suitcase, I then went to grab some of her shorts from her suitcase. "Here we go, something comfortable for you to wear. Now, are you going to sleep or are we just going to hold each other close?" Gabby then smiled at me. "I would like to look at houses if that's okay? I know we said construction but..." I just smiled. "It's okay."

Gabby nodded when I said that before moving so that I could join her in bed.  Going to grab my iPad, I went to get in bed with her (just like she wanted) before closing the covers on top of us. That's when I felt Gabby move onto my chest and just cuddle up to me. Wrapping my arm around her back, I smiled as I went to kiss her head and just went to hold her close. "God, you have no idea how comfortable I am when we are in bed together. I do not need anything more than this from now on." Gabby smiled when I said that and nodded, agreeing with me.

Going to open my iPad, I looked down at Gabby and stared into her eyes. Leaning down, I smiled when I went to kiss her softly until we were disturbed by Louie. "Daddy?" Looking up at him, I smiled. "Hey buddy, how about you come over here? We are going to stay in here today. We want to be comfortable in bed just like we are at home." I could tell that Louie was nervous about something. Looking at Gabby, she nodded when I told her that I wanted to get up. "Hey buddy, what's wrong?" Walking over to him, I bent down and looked at him.

"I have bad dream." I sighed when he said that and then brought him close while going to pick him up. Kissing his head, I sighed. "You want to tell daddy about your bad dream?" I then turned around to look at Gabby. "I have the sandwich. He can eat." Gabby nodded and agreed with me as she went to grab his sandwich from my side table. Sitting up, Gabby then went to look at him and I knew that she was getting concerned. Picking Louie up in my arms, I went to carry him to bed so that we could sit down with Gabby. Wrapping my arm around her, I smiled at Louie.

That's when he came to lay down on my chest and I just went to tug the covers up on top of us all. "What's wrong buddy?" Louie then got nervous. "I scared that we aren't safe here. Is this home going to burn up too?" I then bit my lip because I knew that was still a possibility. "Hey bud, you don't have to worry about that...." That's because he didn't know something I did. I hadn't shared it with anybody because I didn't want to scare Gabby. But the real reason was because our home fire was arson. They just called it and that's why we left so fast.

Yes, we could've gone to Antonio and my sister's place but....we were still at risk there. Looking at Gabby, I decided that it was time to rip the band-aid off. "Gabby, I have to tell you something okay?" Gabby then looked at me when I said that. "You sound like something is wrong. Matt, what's wrong?" I then bit my lip and went to grab her hand. "They just ruled the fire at our home arson and I am partially to blame."
