| 2006 - 3rd Person POV
"Sanzu-kun?" (Y/n) asked, feeling Chifuyu's hold to her tighten. The man with the mask as usual of course noticed this, altering his expression to a perplexed one-- more like a stern one as if he'll devour someone any second. Keeping himself composed, he forced a smile on his face whilst the two faced him bewildered.
"What are you doing here Sanzu-kun?" (Y/n) questioned, holding the bouquet of flowers in her right hand seen by Sanzu, infuriating him more. Feeling his stomach twist more, he decided to take this quick and head home rather than seeing them both together: the thing he most feared, the thing he wants to avoid yet he was too late.
"I just checked by. Seems you two just... had a date. It was nice seeing you both, I'll be going now." He lied through the cover of his face, bowing before passing the two. Chifuyu on the other hand sensed something was wrong, especially the very time Sanzu passed him. Glaring at each other, Sanzu gave the blonde a blood-curdling stare like a keen knife ready to stab anyone anytime.
"Is there something wrong?" (Y/n) asked, noticing the sudden tension between the two.
"N-nothing." Chifuyu answered, giving the girl an assuring smile before sending her to her apartment.
Upon arriving at the door, (Y/n) noticed another bouquet of flowers in the doormat, but this time its white roses, probably the expensive ones due to their size and chocolates contained in a luxury box.
"Thi-this--" The girl gasped, picking up the gifts exactly in front of her apartment.
"I-It's from S-Sanzu..."
(Y/n) looked at the card plastered on the flower with disbelief, contemplating at the fact that Sanzu sent this, not just ordinary gifts but the costly ones. As a matter of fact, Chifuyu already knew what those as for, along with the look Sanzu just gave him earlier.
There's no telling if he's angry, scared, or worried. Perhaps worried about (Y/n)? His feelings? To the both of them? The rumors he heard about him? No one knows.
"M-maybe these were just normal gifts! We've been close for a while, he often gave me company before." (Y/n) laughed as she tried to shrug off the atmosphere that has been tingling with her for a while.
After inviting Chifuyu into her apartment like usual, she noticed the silent ambiance given to her by Chifuyu being worsened by the pale face he's showing as if he's lost in a deep sea.
"Chifuyu." (Y/n) called, snapping the blonde before looking at her with an apologetic look.
"You okay?"
"Y-yeah. Just spaced out a little bit... maybe I'm just tired." Chifuyu chuckled at (Y/n) however the girl isn't stupid to just blind herself with lies when she's aware if anything's off.
Gathering up the courage, she approached the man before jumping to him for a hug, laying her head on Chifuyu's chest as the blonde rested himself on the sofa.
"Something's wrong. Don't lie to me Chifuyu." She murmured whilst Chifuyu ran his hands through her hair, taking a deep breath before giving her a small smile.
"I'm just worried about that Sanzu." He finally answered, (Y/n) looking at him with a teasing grin not for mocking-- but to at least calm the boy down hearing the boy's heart pump fast.
"You're jealous aren't you?"
"No!" He denied, pinching (Y/n)'s nose as hard as what she did to him earlier. Wincing in pain as she drew back away from the blonde, she gave Chifuyu a playful kick as if they were not talking about a serious thing earlier. Everything just flew away. The previous uneasy atmosphere was now withdrawn with saccharine ambiance made by the two of them.
As soon as the both of them calmed down, Chifuyu now lying on (Y/n)'s chest, he laughed at himself realizing that being worked up earlier was just futile. He now has the girl he dreamed of, and now all that's left to do is to give her what she deserves.
"Inupi already warned me about Sanzu." (Y/n) spoke, playing with the blonde's hair as the boy hummed on top of her.
"Sanzu was a good friend... at least. He said he doesn't have siblings but--" (Y/n) was interrupted when Chifuyu looked at her, an uneasy expression plastered all over his face.
"Two siblings."
"Hmm?"
"He has two siblings. One of them was the founder of Black Dragons. The other one was the leader of Brahman today."
"I see." (Y/n) sighed, disappointment laced in her voice.
"Neh Chifuyu. Why did you think he lied?" She added.
"I don't know." Chifuyu replied, nuzzling his head to (Y/n)'s uniform before silence took in along with doziness hitting the two.
"Just stay away from him." The blonde mumbled, clenching his hands to (Y/n)'s shirt.
"I'll just be careful around him. Besides, if I stay away from him he might get the wrong idea. We don't even know why he lied."
"No! You're mine!!"
"Stop being a baby. It doesn't suit you." (Y/n) dumbfounded.
"Yeah right." Chifuyu replied, blushing pink because of embarrassment.
"You read too much shoujo manga." The girl laughed before drifting off to sleep, not bothering to at least change clothes.
Outside of their apartment, a certain purple-haired man stood, a paper bag in his right hand. Scared of waking (Y/n) and the blonde up, he left his gift to the girl outside of her doorstep. He sadly smiled to himself after hearing the whole conversation (Y/n) and Chifuyu had, a relief yet a thorn contrarily pricking his chest. Leaving the (f/c)-colored cardigan he sew, he left a small letter before making his way home to his sisters.
