Gustavo and Kelly stood outside the recording booth, overseeing the mixing equipment and monitoring their vocals. Kelly smiled at the couple. Kit's newest demo song featuring James Diamond would be an instant hit. "Seeing Blind" had a folky sound to it that would draw in a new crowd of listeners, plus the Rushers who would listen to it just for James.

"I have seen, seen it all in paper dreams," Kit sang into the microphone, smiling at James who stood beside her.

This song meant a little extra to Kit, because James insisted that she allow him to co-write it. When she finally got him to calm down and stop trying to turn their songwriting session into a make-out session, it quickly became the duet she was looking for.

"Oh no, my, you are too good to be all mine. Now I'm looking in your eyes. Oh, I must be seeing blind," their voices blended together as they sang the chorus.

"I was young, my heart was always on the run, but you make loving fun, I never knew it could be," James shot Kit at wink. That line came straight from James's heart. He was immensely proud of it.

Kelly stood behind Gustavo as he monitored the soundboard. She nodded along to the beat.

"Oh, I must be seeing blind," Kit's voice held out the last note.

The moment that the recording ended, James pulled in Kit for a hug. His hands rubbed circles on her back. As she stepped back to look at him, he pressed his lips to hers. Their lips only just brushed against each other when they were rudely interrupted.

A burst of cold water startled the teens. James squealed, hands going to fix his hair, and shield himself from further attacks. Kit turned, incredulous, to the source. Gustavo stood in the doorway of the booth, a plastic spray bottle in his hands. She held her hands out as if to ask him what his problem was. Gustavo merely shrugged. His eyes stayed firmly trained on James.

"Bad dog," he said. Unamused, he glared at James. Once the couple stepped apart, embarrassed and annoyed at being sprayed, the tension in the man's shoulders eased. Kelly yanked the bottle from his hand and set it aside before someone ruined their equipment.

"Second demo song down," Gustavo said.

Excited, James turned to embrace his girlfriend once again. He abandoned that endeavor upon seeing Gustavo lift the spray bottle again, pointing it threateningly in his direction. Kit giggled, rolling her eyes.

She checked the time on her cell phone. "Oh," she exclaimed. Kit pulled James by the hand out of Rocque Records with a short goodbye to Kelly and a nod towards Gustavo. "Thanks again, Gustavo," said Kit with a bright grin. "But we've gotta go!"

Jo would be getting the call about her big movie within the next hour. Kit and James promised her they would be there when it came, along with all the boys from Big Time Rush. There were no doubts as far as Kit was concerned that Jo Taylor would be cast as the star in the film adaptation of Chauncey Jackson & the Magic Gallows. She wanted to be there for her best friend when she got the good news.

As the music producers watched the teens disappear around the corner, Kelly tilted her head in thought. "I don't get them," she said. Over the past year and some months that she had been working with Big Time Rush, Kelly picked up on the subtle glances shared between Kit and Logan. She wondered if she missed something the day that James first showed up, holding hands with the Knight girl. Gustavo squeezed his spray bottle, grumbling. "There's no kissing my studio!"
