7 Things I Hate About You

[1] You're vain, [2] your games, [3] you're insecure

[4] You love me, you like her

[5] You made me laugh, you made me cry

I don't know which side to buy

??? [6]

I wanna be with the one I know

And the seventh thing I hate the most that you do

[7] You make me love you

The seven things I like about you

[1] Your hair, [2] your eyes, [3] your old Levi's

[4] When we kiss, I'm hypnotized

[5] You make me laugh, you make me cry

But I guess that's both I'll have to buy

[6] Your hand in mine, when we're intertwined, everything's all right

I wanna be with the one I know

And the seventh thing I like the most that you do

[7] You make me love you

Kit put down her pen with a resounding plop. She stared at the lyrics, drawn to the gaps and missing lines. When she sat down to write the first of her promised two break-up songs for James, Kit found that most of the song flowed easily from her. It seemed that the lists she and Penny had made were useful in more ways than one. Yet, she struggled to find the right lines to fill in her main chorus. She couldn't exactly copy-paste the list in its entirety, but she also knew that six things sounded a lot less catchy than seven.

Her writers' block was put on the backburner as a call from Kelly interrupted her quiet. That was how she found herself headed into Rocque Records with the boys on what was supposed to be a day off. Gustavo led the teens down the hallways of the studio. Kelly walked a pace behind him, unable to contain her grin. Big Time Rush and Kit Knight had both been called in today, but Kelly wouldn't say why over the phone.

"Dogs, this is a very exciting time for Rocque Records," Gustavo explained. "We are expanding and we are climbing to the next level."

"I'll say," Carlos grinned. "That coat check outside is a nice touch."

The adults spun around on their heels, confused. Gustavo looked at Carlos oddly while Kelly lifted a finger. "Uh," she informed. "We don't have a coat check."

At this, the boys looked down at their bare arms. They knew they wouldn't be seeing their jackets again. Kit folded her cardigan tighter around her chest, glad she decided to keep it on in case she got chilly inside.

Gustavo continued on: "And thanks to BTR's success, the high number of album sales on Kit Knight, and my amazingness, I just signed a legend to Rocque Records... Babylace!"

The teens gaped excitedly at the news. Carlos gasped, turning to Kendall, as the taller boy exclaimed: "Babylace? Rock Magazine's fourth greatest guitarist of all time?"

Carlos added, "Who holds the record for the world's longest guitar solo?"

Kelly nodded. Kit gripped Logan's forearm in excitement. Eyes wide, he threw in his own fun fact: "Who threw up on the Queen, twice?"

Kit asked: "That Babylace?"

Gustavo confirmed, "The same. And you guys are gonna be working with him today."
