Chapter 9: Bad Luck

We walked into the house and looked around. It was the house that Gerard and I ended up getting drunk at around the end of last year. Gerard said he wouldn't drink if I didn't want him too but I said it was fine. He pecked my cheek and walked off into the large crowd of people. I walked over to an area that most people labeled as 'Sober Drivers'. Last year I didn't MEAN to get drunk. I don't drink really ever. A glass of wine is okay once in a while but otherwise I'm always sober.

I say down on the couch and noticed Riley, Jaden, and Jordan were sitting in a couple of bean-bags. There was another bean-bag next to Jaden. I walked over and plopped down in it. "Hey guys." I said. They looked over at me and smiled. "Hi Y/N." They said. "What are you guys doing over here? Shouldn't you be partying?" I asked them. "I get too emotional when I drink." Riley told me. "I don't drink at all." Jaden said. I knew why she didn't drink and that's because of things that had happened in the past. "I'm staying here with Jaden. I would drink but I wouldn't feel right not being here with her." Jordan said.

"Awww." Riley and I said in unison. Jaden blushed and threw a couch pillow at us. Riley and I started laughing. After a few seconds of everyone laughing we all decided to watch some TV. Jordan turned on the TV and started watching The Nightmare Before Christmas. I smiled and faced the TV. We were halfway into the movie when I saw Gerard completely wasted. Some girl was trying to dance with him and he wasn't stopping her. After a few minutes she shoved him onto the couch and started making out with him. I started tearing up and noticed that Jaden, Jordan, and Rikey were looking at me. They all got up and helped me up. "I'll drive you home..." Riley said. I nodded and he helped me to his car.

Why do these things always happen to me?
