PAIRING (S): Peter Parker X Blind!Reader, Avengers X Blind!Reader

T/W: none, unless you don't like fluff... then yeah

★★★

"Peter I'm not so sure about this- are you sure you won't get in trouble? I mean this is all top secret stuff." You fussed, but you felt your dear friend's hand grab yours and squeeze it, letting you relax.

"I talked to Mr Stark, and he said it's not a problem. He even insisted on getting Happy to drive us. In fact... he seemed pretty excited." Peter explained, and it both reassured you and made you smile.

"If Stark sounded excited at the idea of you bringing me over, it means he's planning something." You reminded him, and the silence in the car made you laugh, as you realised Peter hadn't pieced that together by himself. You felt the car come to a stop, and the door to your right opening. "Are we here?" You asked as Peter gently pushed you to get out.

"Yeah, want the cane or me?" Peter asked, getting out after you. You raised your arm in the direction you heard him, and Peter simply smile, placing his elbow in your hand's grasp. Happy walked ahead, getting the door for you both, before leaving you be. "Alright, so there's some pretty cool things here... there's the lab, the suit room, and the living room has a pretty comfy couch-"

"Peter." You interrupted. "I doubt Stark wants me feeling up his suits, or knocking over things in the lab, so the living room sounds like the best option." You reminded with a chuckle. You liked it when he did this. Accidently forget you were blind, because not only was it funny, but it also meant he didn't see you any different to his other friends.

"Ah, right." Peter chuckled as well, starting to guide you. "Okay, a few steps ahead... step." He warned, letting you lift your foot so you could get on the step, repeating it till you reached the top. "Okay, it's safe to walk."

"Peter, who's this?" A woman asked. Peter slightly shifted, removing his arm from your grasp and wrapping it around you in a side hug.

"Hi Miss Potts, this is my friend, Y/N. Mr Stark said I could bring her, show her around... she knows about me being Spiderman." Peter explained. You smiled, not sure where 'Miss Potts' was. "Who's here?" He asked.

"Uh...everyone basically. All the Avengers." She said, and you felt Peter tense. "Anyway, I'm off, see you soon." Potts excused, walking past you, and you looked in Peter's direction.

"You're my eyes, boy, get moving." You said smugly, feeling him let go, and you reached out, and he put his elbow back into your grasp, and started walking.

"Hey Peter... is this your friend?" Stark asked, and you smiled in the direction, before looking in the direction of the floor, probably.

"Yeah, this is Y/N, she's known about me being Spiderman since pretty early on actually." Peter admitted.

"How'd that happen? I thought it was supposed to be top secret." A man teased. You had a good idea that he was Sam, as Peter had given you an idea of their style of speech beforehand so you had an upper hand in identifying people. He had warned Sam was more on the poke fun at you kind of guy.

"She had come over to my house and was cold, and I let her fish through my stuff, and she happened to pick up the jacket to my old suit and... just knew." Peter explained.

"To be honest Pete, it had a zip that went to the top of the hood, it's pretty hard not to guess." Tony dismissed, not finding the particular story that interesting, however, you felt eyes on you, and you took a guess at where it was coming from, looking in that direction. Peter followed your eyes, and it happened to land on Clint, who was looking you right in the eye. He quickly realised the situation, and smiled.

"Hey Y/N, want to come sit next to me? I think we'd make a great team." He commented. Peter smiled grateful, looking at you.

"That's Clint, Hawkeye, wanna go sit down?" He asked you quietly, and you nodded, getting a little excited as you squeezed his elbow. He led you over, and Clint patted the seat next to him, and you sat down. At this point, at least half the team realised.

"What makes you think you two could be a duo, Barton? I doubt she's trained in fighting." Thor, bless his heart, hadn't realised, and was clueless. Peter took a seat on the arm of the seat you were sat on.

"Disabled buddies. I'm practically deaf and... what severity is the blindness at, if you're okay me asking?" Clint asked you. You smiled the most thankful smile you could. Usually when people realised you were blind, they treated you like you were dumb and would ask your friends or family with you about you or what you wanted.

"It's pretty bad, I can't see much, it's mostly shadowed based but in the recent years the light's going so... it's pretty severe, but if I squint I can just about make out shapes when light hits them." You explained to him quietly.

"...Oh, now that's interesting." You heard Tony mumble across the room, making you crack a small laugh. "Really, if you can't see, how did you realise he was Spiderman?"

"He sucks at sewing and this jacket had a lot of adjustments to them, so I could feel them when I ran my hand over them... that and the holes in the hood for the googles, and he'd described Spiderman to me just a few days earlier, so I had a good idea." You explained.

Conversing with the avengers was going a lot smoother than you had imagined. While the topic was mostly about your lack of sight for the first few minutes, it eventually shifted to funny stories about being blind and being friends with Peter, and spilling stories about some of the stuff he's done in the past. When you were comfortable enough, you let your humour and way of speaking with Peter leak out, and they loved that even more. Peter would chime in, but he was happy to sit at the side and watch his friend make more friends, especially since he knew you struggled in finding people who didn't judge you.

"Peter, is it late? I can't see any light- did Thor stand up? Did Bruce hulk out? Did someone turn the sun off?" You asked, intentionally adding humour to it to make the group laugh. Peter checked his phone, the light of the screen making you turn as you could just about see it.

"Yeah, it's nearly ten, I should really get you home before your family kills me." Peter commented, getting up and once again slotting his elbow into your grasp, and you got up, before the whining started.

"Does she have to?" Wanda asked.

"Tony please tell me you got spare bedrooms in this place." Natasha added on.

"10 isn't that late, right?" Even Steve tried to bargain.

"Guys." Clint spoke up. "Let her go home. If you carry on whining you'll scare her off wanting to come back." Clint smirked. That shushed them, before they all sadly said goodbye to you and Peter. Happy was waiting at the door, holding it open and Peter held you a little closer as you walked to the car.

"Had fun?" He asked.

"Yeah... thank you for bringing me here Peter... can I come back at some point?" You asked

"Yeah of course, who knows, maybe next time Tony might break his no animal rule if your request for a guide dog goes through." He mentioned, which only made you more giddy, and him more happy.
