CHAPTER 21

Khyrieze Llanelli Villaraigosa's POV

"Guys, have you heard the news? Mayroon daw mag scout dito from manila. Gosh! That's a big opportunity" Cheryl said then drink her water. It's been a week since we came home from our outing. Everything seems normal. Now, we're currently at the gymnasium because we just finished our training.

"Yeah, ang sabi pa ni Coach there's a chance na makuha tayong lahat. Ang hinahanap daw kasi ay Isang team na so there's no time for adjustment." Billy explained. Patango tango naman kami.

"That's final?" tanong ni AV.

"Not yet, pero based on how our team performs, I guess they will surely consider everyone" AA said looking at the other members. Kaming lima lang kasi ang nakaupo at halos silang lahat ay hindi pa napagod kaya nakuha pang maglaro.

"Do we really need to leave?" I asked.

"Ano kaba?! ERU is one of the most prestigious University in the Philippines. It's a privilege to play in their team." Cheryl answered. Napatango tango naman ako. "Aren't interested?" she asked.

"Ayoko sa manila, mas okay ako dito. May kilala din naman na school dito like state universities, I might go there" I replied. For me, I don't consider manila as my priority place to study. I know there's a lot of place there to gain knowledge and skills but I just don't feel it. I don't want to leave the town neither the country. Mas lalong ayoko abroad.

"Sabagay, but still sayang naman yung opportunities diba?" she insisted.

"You know what? Ikaw lang yata ang kakilala ko na sobrang yaman naman, pero still chose to stay on this level" Billy interrupt. Napalingon naman ako dito.

"I just don't want to brag my parents wealth, because me personally? Owns nothing" I straightly said. Tumango tango naman ito. Totoo naman, mayaman o may pera sila Daddy and Mommy, but it doesn't mean that I have to go to this school, that school, or anywhere to have quality education. All I have to do is to work hard and do everything I could to learn new things.

Nanatili kaming tahimik habang nagliligpit ng gamit when AV suddenly shouted "Kerby look out!" but she's too late because I suddenly felt something hits my forehead.

"Ouch shit!" I blurted as I ache in pain. Damn! Bakit ako pa?!

"KL?! Are you okay? Jeez I'm sorry" nag angat ako nang tingin ng marinig ko ang boses ni Rian. Agad itong lumapit sakin at sinipat-sipat ang noo ko kung saan tumama ang bola na sa tingin ko ay ini-spike niya.

"I'm fine Ri, don't you worry" I just said para hindi na ito mag alala. I will admit that it really hurts, but it was just an accident. I can't blame her.

"Tara sa clinic, grabe yung pamumula ng mukha mo e, c'mon patignan nalang natin" She insisted pero umiling ako.

"Just go back to your practice, ako nalang ang pupunta don then sumunod ka after that." I firmly said. Nag-aalala naman itong tumango before caressing my face once again.

"Alright sabay tayong uuwi okay? Hintayin mo nalang ako sa clinic" she finally said before kissing me on my cheeks then go back to her teammates.

"Parang hindi mo naman na kailangan ng clinic, sa kiss palang ni Rian parang solve kana" Billy teased me kaya pabiro ko siyang hinampas.

"Shh! Tumigil ka nga" I told her.

"Pero seriously Kerb, what's the real score between you and Rian?" AA curiously asked. Napalingon naman ako dito.

"Oo nga, napansin ko din na after nung outing, she became clingy and caring sayo" AV added. Dito naman ako napatingin.

I was about to speak when Cheryl cutted me off. "May chance naba? Are you courting her already?" tanong din nito. Pailing lang akong sumagot sa kanila.

"We're just friends, since wala naman kaming napag-usapan aside from she's being jealous to some girls that trying to hit me. I don't want to assume, but sometimes I couldn't stop myself thinking that it was the start." I shared to them, patango tango naman silang tumugon sakin. "I'm not counting her either, I'm just loving her. I don't care if I am the only one who love and stays, what matters to me is that I can show her my love." They just look at me with full of amusement. I don't even know why I'm doing this for Rian, when I knew her, all I wanted to do is to love her and give what she deserves.

"Rian is so lucky to have you" Cheryl says.

"No, I will be the luckier if I could have her" I suddenly burst. Napakamot naman ako bigla sa ulo ko. "Sige na guys mauna na ako sa clinic, sumasakit nadin yung ulo ko" I just said to them, sumangayon naman sila.

Dahil nga malapit lang ang clinic sa court ay agad ko itong narating. No one is here aside from a lady that's laying in one of the bedroom. She's not wearing our university uniform nor PE, I could say that, it's either she's from the other school or shes just wearing a civilian uniform. Hindi naman siguro siya prof or staff because she looks young.

"Staring is rude you know" she coldly said that while her eyes are still closed.

"O-oh, I'm sorry... I didn't mean to make you uncomfortable" I said. She slowly opened her eyes. I can't help but to be amazed, she have this beautiful green colored eyes.

"Ms. Villaraigosa, what can I help you?" a woman from the restroom said that. She's one of the nurses in this school.

"I was hitted by a ball, I need cold compress and some medicine. I don't feel strange naman nor dizziness" I said. Tumango naman ito at muling umalis. I guess kukuha ito ng bagay na kailangan ko.

"You're so tall, what's your sports?" napalingon muli ako sa babaeng nakahiga sa kama.

"Ahm, basketball" I said. Tumango tango ito. "do you mind if I ask you what happened to you?" I asked. Bahagya itong napangiti.

"I fainted, but I'm okay now" She shortly said. Tumango tango naman ako.

"Outsider?" I asked. Ngayon ko lang kasi siya nakita, I know I'm not into socializing but once I met someone I will immediately notice them once we meet again.

"Ahm yeah" She said while nodding. "Actually I'm from manila, we're just having a business here" she continued. I just gave her a nod.

"By!" agad akong napalingon sa pinanggalingan ng boses. She's the only person who called me in that nickname. I could say, she have a lot of nickname for me, and this one is my favorite.

"Ri, you're already here? Tapos naba ang training niyo?" I asked when she stop in front of me.

"Nagpaalam ako kay coach, don't worry pumayag naman siya." she said then smiled at me. "How are you feeling? Bakit hindi ka padin inaasikaso?" then now she's frowning. Jeez! Sobrang bilis magbago ng mood niya.

"Kalma, kumuha na ng ice pack. Come on let's find a sit" I said then hold her hands. I pulled her in one of the bed and guided her to sit.

"Sino yung kausap mo kanina?" she suddenly asked kaya napatingin ako sa kama na inuukupahan nung babae kanina, but it was empty.

"M-may babae jan kanina, I forgot to asked her name but I had a chitchat with her" I said. Shit! Nasan na yung babae na iyon?! Nag ha-hallucinate lang ba ako? Epekto ba ito ng pagkakatama ng bola sa akin?!

"Aish! Kumalma ka nga, nakita ko din siya kanina umalis nung kinausap mo na ako. Baka she have to do something, tsk! Napaka matatakutin mo" Rian tap my face to come back to my senses. Damn! Where's my manners? I turned my back to her and forget that I was talking to her, I even forgot to ask her name. Damn it! "Khyrieze isa! Kapag hindi kapa umayos sasampalin kita. C'mon! Look at me!" she said impatiently. Agad naman akong tumingin sa mga mata niya. I can't help but to adore her, I was about to reach her lips when the nurse came back.

"Ehem! Here's the pack and the medicine" may pangaasar na sabi nito bago tumalikod. Jeez! What I was thinking?! Damn! Epekto nga siguro ito ng pagkakatama ng bola.

I wasn't really feeling myself lately. I felt so empty, and lack of inspiration to write something. I even thinking of deleting this story until I open my account again and noticed that there's new readers. That gives me reasons to keep going, because there you are who's waiting for this story to be completed. I might not like the other writer who reaches your expectations but I will promise to do everything I could just to make this story worth of your time.
