Kerby's POV
"Che dito!" I shouted to let her know na I'm free to shoot. "Damn it!" I hissed as she drive and did a layup. Sadly she got blocked. We have 20 seconds and the game will end but she acted as if I didn't exist. Ganun parin ba siya ka affected sa nanyari? God it's been a couple of months.
"Shut up" bulong nito at tumakbo na papunta sa kabilang ring. We're on the game against ERU, their dream University but sadly nung nag scout sa San Benito, naunang umoo yung Coach namin sa SVU and since malaki ang utang na loob nila kay Coach they signed the contract.
The game continues and we're on the defense right now. We did a man to man to guard each players dahil tie and laban 75-75. Napunta sa binabantayan ko ang bola. She tried to make a three point shoot but I miraculously block it.
"Waaaah! Go Villaraigosa!"
"S...V... U!!! You... can... lead!"
"Defense! Defense!"
I've heard a lot of cheer from the crowd but I managed to focus on my goal. I immediately ran and take control of the ball. I drive to the basket and suddenly released it to pass to Maico that is currently at the three point spot. She launched a shot and it's counted.
*buzzer sound*
"Nice one bro!" I said and gave him a soft punch. We win!
"You could have shoot it but chose to pass, what if she couldn't make it?" Billy said as we walk back to the bench
"Alam mo kung paano ako maglaro. As much as possible, gusto ko umiikot ang bola. And look what happened to Che, we can lead by that time if she didn't push to drive it. Ang daming tao sa loob tas papasok tsk!" Naiinis na sabi ko nadin. What's their problem ba, panalo na kami ang dami pang sinasabi.
"So ano pinapalabas mo?" Lumapit ito sakin, malaki lang ako ng konti dito kaya medyo nakatingala ito.
"Girls ano ba yan" Coach cut in.
"Billy aren't happy that we win" Maico teased. Kahit kelan talaga tong si Maico.
"That's not what I meant, ang akin lang matatalo pa tayo sa mga desisyon nitong si Kerby" depensa namn ni Billy.
"I understand your point, but the game is over and we win. We all have to move on and be thankful that we win. Don't stress yourself to the things that you can't control. Unahin mo si Che, she's being selfish for the entire game." Komento pa ni coach before kami iwan.
"Tsk! Iba talaga pag may kapit" naiiling na sabi ni Billy bago kami talikuran. Pumunta na silang lahat papasok sa dugout. Ngumiti nalang ako kay Maico bago siya tapikin at magsimulang maglakad.
"Hindi mo kasi sabihin ang totoo, lahat tuloy ng ginagawa mo mali to them. If only I mend to people's problem, Ako mag sabi" habol nito. Nilingon ko siya at umiling.
"Hayaan mo na, time will come magiging okay rin ang lahat." Sabi ko at inakbayan na siya nang magkatabi kami sa paglalakad.
"So what's your set up with Irish?" She asked.
"We're good, I'm living with her since my Grandfather disowned me. You know, that kind of Scandal is disgrace to our family it's been months now" napahinto ito kaya ganun din ako.
"The fuck?! And yet you're just letting your life fall when you can tell everyone what really happened?" Inalis nito ang akbay ko at hinarap ako. "That's too much Bro, you should tell them" nag aalalang sabi nito.
"I did, actually I did not" naguguluhan akong tinignan nito. "He find out the real reason and he wants me to get Rian back, but I can't. How? E mahal niya yon, dun siya masaya so why should I stop her diba? But then my grandfather still did that so Rian will get back to me if she saw my worst situation. Unlucky she didn't." Pag explain ko. Napatango tango naman ito. "And yeah, that shit happened and right now I'm currently staying at Irish's condo until I find a job that can support me" I continued.
"I see, but be careful... broken people can be dangerous as hell" she warned. Tumango naman ako as a response. Magpapatuloy na sana ako sa paglalakad when she suddenly clap. "Right! You're looking for a job diba? I can offer you may vacant ako" seryosong sabi niya kaya napaharap akong muli.
"Really? Kahit ano yan I'm willing basta decent" I said. Tumango naman ito.
"Wala kasing manager yung isa kong Bar since yung kinuha ni Angel nag resign dahil hindi niya raw kaya yung work. And since business related naman yung course mo, I'm sure you can do it" masayang sabi nito na tila ba natapos yung problem niya.
"Hindi ba parang unfair sa mga employees mo yun kasi undergraduate pa ako?" Pag aalala ko. I know yung ibang employees niya mas qualified sa position dahil knowledgeable na sila and may skills to that samantalang ako wala pa akong alam don.
"Bro, I'm hiring you as a business partner, not my employee, so basically hindi ka empleyado mag mamanage ka lang din and syempre since position mo yun, you gonna take responsibility sa position na meron ka. Kaibigan kita so this is not a job offer, more on business agreements" she said. Napatango naman ako. Well, trabaho na lalapit tatanggi paba ako?
"Alright! I'm gonna ask Irish about it, kelan pala ako mag start? I train and assist mo naman ako diba?" Pag sisigurado ko.
"Of course! Kung kaya tonight, let's go there" then ofer me a handshake. Kinuha ko naman ito.
"Yeah sure, that's a deal" then We shook our hands.
"Kerby! Maico! What are you doing there? Kanina pa kayo hinihintay ni coach!" AA suddenly appeared. Napakamot ako sa ulo bago tumango at sumunod sa kanya.

"Where is it located? What is the name of that bar? What's your work there? How many ho-" I cutted her off and hug her from behind. She's fixing some clothes on the closet while asking me a lot of questions when I said na mag wowork ako sa bar ni Maico.
"You smell so good" I whispered to distract her.
"Stop, hindi mo ako madadala sa paglalambing mo." Kinalas nito ang yakap ko at humarap sakin. She cupped my face and sincerely look at my eyes. "You know I can support you right? Kulang ba yung allowance mo as a player? I can give you naman" she said. I hold her hand on my face and gently caress it.
"I need to stand on my own Irish, hindi palaging nakasandal ako sayo. Plus hindi mo naman ako responsibility, nakakahiya kila Tita" I gave her a weak smile.
"Pwede bang ako nalang ang mag bigay ng work sayo? I can tell Mommy na hanapan ka ng suited position sa-" this time ako naman ang nag cut sa kanya.
"Irish please, let me. Hindi ko naman mapapabayaan ang pag aaral ko if you're thinking about that." Lumayo na ako dito at lumakad papunta sa sofa. "Nahihirapan ako sa set up natin to be honest, ano nalang ang iisipin ng parents mo" I added before sitting on the sofa. Nahihiya kasi ako, I suppose to be the one who provides our needs if we're really in a live in relationship tho we're not, ayoko parin na iba ang isipin ng parents niya.
"So you wanted to leave?" Sumunod ito sa akin at tumayo sa tapat ko.
"It's not like that, C'mon" I said and guide her to sit on my lap sideway. "Gusto ko lang may income so I can start again. Wala akong plan na umalis, gusto ko lang ng income. Alam ko naman na mamimiss mo ako pag umalis ako" biro ko kaya kinurot nito ang tagiliran ko.
"You're so full of yourself! Alam ko naman na sating dalawa mas nahuhulog ka, God, ikaw pa mag disobey ng rule mo?" Natatawang sabi nito at nag lean sa dibdib ko.
"What if I'm really falling? Sasaluhin mo ba ako?" I teased. Hindi ito sumagot pero ramdam ko ang pag buntong hininga nito. "Hey I was just jo-" once again she cut me off.
"I'm just waiting for you to asked me that, you know we're live in and doing relationship stuff and yet sinasabi natin na it's just an act but I know there's something with it na" seryosong sabi nito. Shit! I was just kidding. "We can try, should we?" Umayos ito ng upo at hinarap ako. I didn't expect na we're inches away from each other. Damn! Bakit sa dami ng beses na nagkalapit ang mukha namin, ngayon lang ako kinabahan ng ganito.
"I-ikaw" wala sa sariling sabi ko. Damn! She's too serious and I can't ruin this.
"I think we should" then she lean and gently kissed me. Napapikit nalang ako at sumabay sa kanya. I don't know if it's her heart or it is mine that's currently pounding loudly. I didn't expect this, I'm not ready.
