Chapter 51

Kerby's POV

"I don't know what to feel right now bro, I'm a bit nervous cause this industry might get me in trouble or double my money, and that excites me" we're on our way to San Benito when Maico speaks up.

"You should be nervous, I guess? To be honest ayokong I-tolerate ka sa ganitong bagay, dahil we both know that this might put you in jail. But, that's your life, just be careful and don't get caught" sabi ko sa kanya habang nananatiling naka tanaw sa bintana. The view of the mountain really catches my attention. Siguro, kung papipiliin ako between city life and province life, I would still go to province life as I always. There's a calming feeling whenever I'm here. Siguro kung hindi rin kami natuloy ni Rian sa Manila, everything is so different.

"Kerby!" Bahagya pa akong napapitlag noong alugin na ako ni Maico. Magkatabi kasi kami sa back seat dahil may driver naman.

"What?!" Gulat kong tanong dito.

"You're spacing out brother, damn! I was telling something tapos ikaw hindi ka pala nakikinig" reklamo nito kaya bahagya akong natawa.

"Ano ba kasi yun?" Pagbawi ko.

"As I was saying, are you and Irish are dating? Is it for real? Are you guys planning to take a revenge?" she said while wiggling her eyebrows. Sinundo niya kasi ako sa condo to make sure na sasamahan ko raw siya. Unlucky, si Irish pa ang nag open ng door for her wearing my clothes and maybe she think something out of it.

"I'm not a kid to take a revenge, but Irish is different so yeah, what you see is what you get" napa ngisi ito nang nakakaloko. "Stop it, we're not doing that" based kasi sa ngiti nito parang may gusto siyang malaman.

"So no strings attached? Just fuck buddy?" She said without filtering her words. Tsk!

"We're not fucking each other tho, so no, she's not like that." I Defended.

"Okay if you say so" she just said kaya tinanguan ko lang ito bago muling tumingin sa bintana. Mahabang byahe pa to, I should sleep.

I was closing my eyes for some time but I can't fall asleep. Instead, memories came flashing like it was happened yesterday...

*Flashbacks*

"Happy Birthday Labi" I whispered on her ear and slowly removed her blind fold.

"K-Khyrieze, you made all of this?" She asked as she look around. We're here at our garden, I set up a picknic style dinner dahil tanaw dito sa garden namin ang kabuuan ng San benito, sobrang ganda talaga ng sunset dito, add mo pa yung mountain ranges na sobrang relaxing sa mata.

"Yes po" then I back hug her. We're now both facing the sunset. "Did you really wanna go to Manila?" I asked as I sniffed her nape.

"Y-yes" maigsing tugon nito.

"You're going to miss this view Labi, doon puro buildings, cars and pollution." Pagkukumbinsi ko pa. Napag usapan kasi namin na sa Manila na pala siya mag continue ng Senior High School to pursue her passion in volleyball. Gusto ko man siyang pigilan pero parang napaka makasarili ko naman kung ikukulong ko siya dito sa San Benito.

"Mahal, we've talked about it na diba?" Humarap ito sa akin and gently caress my cheeks.

"I know, I just want you to see the beauty of this place" I said.

"I really appreciate you, this, all of this. I love San Benito but I don't see myself growing if I stayed here. I hope you understand" then she gently kissed me. "Why don't you come? Ayoko rin naman mapalayo sayo, let's build our dreams there, I promise you, you'll never regret it" naka ngiting sabi niya.
