"Hey" James voice sounded as soon as I came to our usual spot at the pond. It's become more of a routine that we would meet here when he's finished hanging out with the boys
"Hey" I smiled taking a seat next to him
"How were the boys as I left?" I asked curious
"Yeah, let's not talk about that" He chuckled fiddling with the grass
"What happened?" I asked
"Nothing Riley" He replied, it was clearly something. He doesn't get this wound up over nothing
"James" I replied
"They just said something that I would happily dig them a early grave for" He said making me laugh and roll my eyes
"When have comments ever bothered you" I asked
He gets comments about himself day in and day out. Everyone assumes to much of him, everything thinks he is a certain way but the James I know isn't like that at all
"When the comments are about you. I'm bothered" He said dryly, I sighed looking at him 
I place my hand on top of his offering him a warm smile
"Don't let it bother you. We all know, your boys are all talk" I replied making him roll his eyes before looking back at me with the same smile that is usually plastered on his face 

"You're telling me that no matter how much I beg you, you won't make a public appearance with me?" James whined, I rolled my eyes at him as his head laid in my lap
"For what James? We are friends and I bet you the second people find out about that, this all stops" I reminded him
"But why?" James asked and I sighed
"Everyone will assume things. Girls will start treating me like a threat. Everyone knows that you are the most wanted guy in our year. The second another girl is on the scene, that girls life will be hell" I said laughing lightly 
"I wouldn't let them give you hell Ri" He said looking up at me
"Ri? That's a new one" I replied making him smile more
"I like it" He muttered to himself
"I like it too" I replied smiling

I smiled walking through the corridors the following morning, James has been an early bird recently so was already at school by the time I got there
"So this new girl of yours" I heard West say as soon as I got to my locker
I instantly froze, James has a girlfriend? 
"What about her?" James asked
"When do we get to meet her?" Hunter asked. I glanced over my shoulder slightly more intrigued then anything
"How does never sound?" James offered and I couldn't help but laugh a little to myself
"Why man?" Daniel asked
"Why would I want to introduce her to you assholes" James asked as I closed my locker
I gently glance at him as I walk away to the library

Part of me is hurt that this is the first time I'm hearing of this other girl. I'm not too sure where he's found the time for that when majority of it is either with me, the boys or his dad
I don't know who she is but I hope it doesn't mean any tension for James and I but I also don't want to over step with the new girl on the scene

The boys and I were sat in the courtyard at break when I notice Eldon over by the benches talking to Riley 
"Now he's introduced her, does this mean she'll be hanging out with us?" West asked sounding merely curious
"I doubt it" I replied
"Yeah, she's a priss" Hunter replied making me narrow my eyes at him
"Wasn't it literally yesterday you were talking about getting her alone?" Daniel laughed only making my blood boil more
"What's up!" Eldon chimed coming over, I watched as Riley sat down with her head in her book again
"We saw you talking to your nearly girlfriends sister again! What's up there" Hunter smirked
"Nothing much, she was just telling me about this weekend" He said taking out his sandwich 
Riley hadn't mentioned anything about this weekend to me
"What's happening this weekend?" I asked, I'm pretty sure my only source of information would be from him
"It's Riley's birthday" Eldon replied with a mouthful of food
That would be why she hasn't mentioned it
During one of our chats about her family, Riley told me she's learnt to hate her birthdays just merely because of it constantly being ruined my arguments
"Does that mean her hot sister is in town?" Hunter said licking his lips. If this boy isn't pissing me off talking about Riley, then he's pissing Eldon off by talking about Emily
"No, she usually comes home but college is hectic apparently" Eldon said rolling his eyes
"sore point?" West asked
If Eldon knows Emily like I know Riley. He'll know it's bullshit. The longer Emily has been away, the less of crap she's started to give about Riley
Emily is excelling in college but neglecting the mess she has back home
"I don't know man, both of the girls are so different it's harder to read Riley then it is Emily" Eldon said, I personally don't think there is anything hard to read about Riley at all
