"But tell me why you were so jealous" I teased Riley as we sat on the window ledges again. It was Saturday evening
"I've told you before and I'll tell you again. I don't get jealous" She replied and I playfully rolled my eyes
"You want to flirt with Michelle, you crack on" Riley said obviously Jealous again
Some back story. Riley overheard a conversation with Michelle and I where Michelle was flirting and I was shutting her down
"You know this wouldn't be an issue if you would let me tell people about us" I smirked 
"Tell them what? We're friends" She replied
"Ri, friends don't kiss" I chuckled making her turn her usual pink tone
"I bet Michelle would love if Friends did kiss, then maybe she would stand a chance" Riley teased going off of topic
"Downstairs in 20" I said to her making her furrow her eyes at me
"See you in a bit" I smiled walking away from the window. 
I was going to make this girl realise that I want to be more then just friends 

.Riley's POV.

"I'm heading out" I called out to my parents who were arguing in the kitchen. I'm pretty certain they didn't hear me
As I walked out of the house I shift my gaze to James' house to see him leaving too. I smiled as we both walked down to meet at his car
"Where are we going?" I asked. It was already pretty late
"Ri, you should know by now I'm not going to tell you" James chuckled opening my door 
I rolled my eyes knowing there was no chance he would be telling me, he never does 

After a short drive we arrived at what looks like a picnic spot at the wooded area a short distance from our houses
"I used to come here as a little girl" I replied making James smile
"My dad used to bring me here with my little sister and we'd go-" James started
"Pine cone collecting" I smiled as we both said it at the same time
In the time that James and I have been friends, we've realised our families are pretty similar with what we used to do 
"I don't remember this" I said looking over at the little clearing
"Me either" James replied, and of course that is the direction we headed
"Woah" i whispered coming through the clearing to see it over looking our entire time. It was full of little streetlights and the tiniest lights from peoples houses. Looking up you could see ever single star. Something you could see from the light pollution in town
"This place is beautiful" I replied as James and I decided to take a seat in this little clearing
Could this be another one of our spots?

"It's getting late" i whispered to James, his head buried in my lap as we sat around just watching the stars and talking
"I know" He muttered closing his eyes making me chuckle
I smiled leaning down kissing his lips making him smile before opening his eyes
"Friends don't kiss babe" He smiled and I rolled my eyes kissing him again
There was something about James. How have I gone from being sworn off love to being completely engulfed in this unfamiliar feeling
"Be my girlfriend" James whispered making me eyes widen slightly, I looked down at him to see him smiling like an idiot
"What" I asked
"You heard me Ri" He chuckled
"Are you sure?" I asked and he nodded, I smiled pressing our lips together
"Is that a yes" he asked sitting up, I smiled and nodded as her cupped my cheek to crash our lips together again..
Well fuck, I'm screwed now

Monday morning quickly rolled around and to James' dismay I made him promise to still keep this between us just for a little
I wanted to be able to talk to Eldon first because I know it'll be a shock to him and I think I also need to mentally prepare myself first for all the shit to come
"Remind me again why this has to be a secret" James asked as I got to my locker, I looked at him a little wide eyed before pulling him into any empty classroom
"we've been though this James, I don't want anything to ruin this" I said taking his hand in mine, James looked at me cupping my cheek with one hand while keep the other intertwined with mine
"Nothing will ruin it Riley" He whispered placing our foreheads together
"Give me 2 weeks okay" I asked and he looked down at me
"Okay" he replied
"Okay" I smiled
"I know you'll be worth the wait" He said sweetly before gently kissing me
2 weeks.. 2 weeks is all I need
