"We are now link by this simple gesture. Don't you think?"

"Bright, Where are you going?" A weak tug was felt on my sleeves voice cracking and low that gets disturbed by his hiccups.

Win is in a pathetic and pitiful state. Eyes red from all the crying, A shaking body, Face flustered and the marks, Those damn marks became more redder and visible than before.

He opened his mouth again to repeat his questions but I chose to ignore it. Anger and rage has already clouded my mind by the state Win is. I can't forgive them.

Would he forgive me?

Walking my legs faster while I gently hold Win's arms trying my best not to hurt him any further not even a slight flinch would be acceptable.

"Oi! Answer me!" His voice became loud. I stopped and looked at him, He froze and brought his eyes elsewhere not wanting to talk to me, As if he didn't particularly begged me to listen to him. Now he's acting like this.

"Got nothing to say? Good, Let's go" Having only 3 steps away from our previous stop over. A hand quickly crawled to my shoulder forcing me to look at him. Bringing us face to face again.

Unlike before he is not avoiding me anymore. His body slightly shaking and his face stiff but his eyes tells me otherwise.

The color and his true feelings are there. The eyes are the window to the soul after all. Sadness and anxiety was clearly visible on his. Making me more determined on my theory in mind.

"Bright, I don't get it" He finally spoke after those silent and hesitant moments. "Why are doing all of this? We can say that we are friends but not that close" He said and even tried to whisper the words friends and close.

I slowly let go of his hand. My body suddenly going stiff and my mind seems tried that it made me completely think blank, but my heart tells me something different. Telling me to tell him the truth, To tell him what kind of fate that is in store for him. That I'm just here to help him.

Words that I'm desperate to let out are on the tip of my tongue but can't seem to let go. He's right. Why am I even doing this? Is it because of our twisted and suffocating loop of fate? It's not something I could hope for.

"Why are suddenly silent? It's not the time Bright" Desperation on his voice. Before when it had already came to this point he will get on his knees and beg but Now he can finally stand up for himself to say the least.

"I'm thinking of a way to help you that's all" I utter. His eyebrows lifting high suspicious on what I said. I can't say anything for now.

The sun is about to set, only a few people are walking by at this type of time as the classes have already finished. My mind racing all over the place just to think of a valid excuse.

"It's going to be night soon. Let's go home" Finally speaking after the long silence. Win is about to open is mouth- probably to complain and whine again. I immediately halted him, As I ran my fingers through his soft hair.

"Before you start complaining and whining. I just want to say that I completely trust you" A small curve has formed on my lips has I say it. Win's cheeks turned to a slightly visible red shade, feeling flustered about my choice of words making me chuckle.

"It's just not the right time to tell you yet but I promise to tell you all the details when it's done. Hmm?" I continued, my smile not leaving my face. He slowly nodded his face adorably turning red, as I pay his head more gently.

"Just tell me when it's done. You promise me that" Win said without looking at me. His free arm shyly rising to reveal his pinky finger. Is he trying to make it a pinky promise?

I couldn't help but laugh. He suddenly smack me in the shoulders but his hand still on that figure. He really his cute but feisty.

I wholeheartedly accepted his finger. My pinky intertwining it with his. "I promise" I utter not letting go from him. Smiles plastered on our faces satisfied with our agreement.

"You better do it or else I will throw you off!" He teased followed by a giggle. He let go of his and did the same with mine. "Now, Should we go home now?" Win continued happier than before despite his current situation he still manages to smile.

"Yes but let's treat those marks first." I suggested and he followed. How can a innocent being be treated this horribly.

The world sure is cruel.

An hour passed after we treated his marks. I realize how horrible but messy his bruises and marks are. The one who did this is not an expert but to result to a horrible marks. They may have vented out their anger without doing it right.

I couldn't help but be slightly relieved. The ones who did this is not that dangerous after all. Just a dumb head who thought they did their job right.

"Bright, The house is up ahead you can just drop me here" Win spoke softly. I looked at him to make sure and he nodded. I completely stopped and unlocked the car for him. As he attempted to get out, I hold him still and signed to not too.

Stepping outside and jogged to his side, I opened the door widely for him. He got confused for a second and smiled taking step outside whilst grabbing his things.

"You know that's unnecessary" He said and giggled. Win closed the door and faced me.

"It's fine. Keep the ointment and call me when something happens" I reminded him. He scoff and walked towards their gate leaving me behind.

"Sure. Now go!" His voice loud enough for me to hear. I raised my hand to wave goodbye and got in the car. I watched as he entered their house safely, honking to alert him that I had left.

The smile that I showed to Win dropped at a slow pace. The atmosphere around them is not right. As if eyes are watching and waiting to take the opportunity to attack. Before leaving, I messaged his brother, Mick, to take care of Win and to make sure nothing suspicious goes around.

A sudden ring pulled me back to reality when a loud ring echoed the vehicle. Guy. Taking it on my unoccupied hand but still focusing on the road.

The talk was short but it filled me with anger. This is not what I expected to be and I'm sure this have hurt Win.

What a betrayal...
