James had been told by Remus that there was a mirror that shows what you truly desire. James wouldn't put it past Remus to lie.
James uncovered the dusty mirror. Sure enough it was the mirror of Erised, just as Moony had said.
James had pondered what would appear in his Mirror of Erised. Not his family. Or good grades.
James takes his hands any wipes the away the dirt. Then he wipes it on his pants.
A girl stands there in a long wedding gown. She has a bouquet of lilies in her hands. James looks up to see Lily Evans staring at him from the other side of the glass.
