"Mr. And Mrs. Potter we are so glad you could join us," said the wrinkled man. He shakes my hand then Ginny's. The man sits down behind the desk and we sit in the respective seats.

The old man grimmaces. He says, "As you know, the church that owned the property where your parents were buried foreclosed. So the bank unburied them and did an autopsy, as protocol. They discovered something during the autopsy that was not noted in the last one."

I look at him. Ginny holds my hands firmly. She asks, "What did you find?"

The man looks onto the couple with pity. He says, "Your mother... she had some indicators that... When your mother died, she was pregnant with a child."

I gasp.

How am I supposed to react to this? I never knew my parents. I never knew what my life would be if they were alive.

I stand and leave.

I can't get any breaths to my lungs. I lean up against the back of the brick building. Tears sting my eyes. I slide down the wall and hang my head between my knees.

I feel a hand in mine.

I shake my head and say, "I just don't know how to react."

I feel a hand that is not from Ginny on my shoulder.

A voice of a man's, much like mine, whispers, "Me too."
