"She's cute isn't she?" "Hmm?" "Rosalina." I say looking down at her sleeping. "Of course she's cute, she looks like me!" I roll my eyes and rub her cheek with my thumb. "Saw Judith has been helping with her." "Yeah she has, she says she's like a big sister." I smile "you think Michonnes ever gonna return?" "I'm not sure. But hey we weren't sure if Maggie would and she has so maybe." "I hope she's ok." "Me too." "How was the trip to the army thing?" "Got some stuff but not a lot. They want to go back out again." "Let me guess, your going with them?" "Don't know." "They need you. I think you should." "You need me Y/n, well let me be more specific. I need you." I laugh softly and kiss his neck "I'll still be here when you get back." "I'll tell them we go later, I need time with you." "Your such a softy now dixon." "You made me this way." "Yeah but you'll still beat a bitch down."  "Damn right." I laugh again "god Rosalinas first words are gonna be  bad words at this rate." "Well I mean it's our language got to teach her how to be bad ass like her parents." I roll my eyes and slide off of him "where you going?" "To put her down so I can have you all to myself." I say sticking my tongue out at him. I walk up the stairs slowing trying not to wake her up and set her down in her bed. I pull the blanket over her half way and move the bear towards her. I walk back down stairs, setting the monitor on the table and sitting beside daryl on the couch. He pulls me back onto his lap so that I'm straddling him. "You just can't get enough of me hmm?" "Nope, I'm not letting you go ever." I smile and kiss him "I mean you did put a ring on it but I wasn't going anywhere to begin with." I say kissing him again. I pull back but he pulls me back in, I finally pull completely back "Dixon we are not fucking after i just had a baby and just woke up after what two months?" "What can I say.." he holds up my hand with the ring on it and intertwines our fingers "Dixon's can be quite needy." I roll my eyes and peck his lips. "I missed you so much." I say putting my head on his shoulder, nudging my face into his neck more. "You scared me you know." "I didn't mean too." "I know you couldn't help it, little one just had to keep us on our toes." "I will say I won't miss her kicking the shit out of me or my big tummy." "I liked it! You weren't so hard on yourself when you were pregnant." "That's because you ass hats wouldn't let me do anything." "And for good reason." "Whatever."
We sit like this for what seems like forever. It's nice to just sit here in silence in his arms. It's quite relaxing really. "I want Negan to meet her." I feel Daryl tense up "why?" "Mmm he's helped me with stuff while being pregnant. I want him to meet her." "Are you friend with him Y/n?" "Well no. Do i think he has changed? Yeah, yeah I do Daryl. Do i forgive him for everything? Absolutely not. But Daryl he's helped this community, he killed alpha and he's looked after Judith multiple times. I think he wants to fit in and help but people keep being hard and holding that grudge on him." Daryl doesn't say anything for a while. "Okay." He simply says "tomorrow he can." "Am I being to much?" "What?" "I feel like I'm pushing you to far. Being to much like I usually am." "Your not baby, I was just asking. He can see her. She's your baby too." "I just thought he might like to meet her. I don't know, he helped me while you went on runs. I really do think he has changed." "To an extent he has." "He's been helping us." "Yeah I guess he has. But changing the subject have you eaten?" "A little, Maggie made me a sandwich but I felt sick eating it. But I could use some water." I say getting up from his lap. "Are you hungry?" "Nah." "Alright then how about you dog? You hungry big boy? Come on." I make my way to the kitchen to get me some water and dog something to eat. I walk back into the living room setting my cup down and climbing back into Daryls lap. "You sleepy baby?" He asks me and I shake my head. "Are you sure?" "Absolutely Ive been quote on quote sleeping for two months. I don't want to sleep. Also the fact that I'm scared of I close my eyes and try to sleep I won't wake up." "That's gonna eat you up huh?" "You know it will but if your sleepy I'll just lay with you." "Come on then." He lifts me up suddenly and I squeal. He chuckles "don't wake up princess now." He walks up the stairs opening the bedroom door. He sets me down on the bed slowly not wanting to wake Rosalina up. I crawl over to my side of the bed and lay down. Daryl takes his shoes off and vest along with his shirt and climbs in. He pulls my on top of him. I smile and rub my fingers through his hair. "I miss these days. Just us relaxing and hanging with each other. I also miss going on hunts with you. So... maybe we have Maggie or someone watch Rosalina one more time." "Definitely Maggie wouldnt mind doing it for us. I can test how good your tracking still is." I gasp "you think I've lost my touch? You are so rude Mr. Dixon." "Probably didn't I mean you did learn from the best." I roll my eyes  "You know Maggie wants to throw us a wedding." "Does she now." I nod my head "do you want one?" He asks me. "Do you?" "I was asking you. I'll do whatever you want." "I mean I wouldn't mind. I think it's a cute idea but I don't think there's enough anything. We're just getting Alexandria back on it's feet." "We could make it happen one day." "Maybe. Right now I really just enjoy spending time with you, we haven't just had time to ourselves for what seems like forever." He moves he hand under my shirt and starts rubbing my back softly "I do like spending time alone with you like this. We should of got together a long time ago." I smile and prop my head up on my hands, "well I was a shy little thing back then." "As if. You worked at a bar and flirted half the time. And when someone disrespected you, you weren't shy to get on their ass right away. Hell you fucked people before me too. You weren't shy." "Mmm I only flirted because guys were stupid and payed me more. I was a shy thing around you dumb ass cause you kept teasing me. How was I supposed to act?" He chuckles "I did like teasing you, seeing your face go red." "Didn't like your friends teasing me though. It was funny when you got on to Jacob for saying some sexual joke." "He knew his place. I told them all you were off limits." "Did you now?" "Hell yeah I did." "Did little Daryl have a crush on me back then and didn't want to admit it? Awww what a big softy." "Hey you had a crush on me too." "Yeah but I couldn't help it. And in my defense I didn't think you liked me so I fell harder." "We should of not been pussys and just got together." "We would of ruled the town huh?" He smiles and pecks my lips "most definitely!" "I will say I do miss experimenting drink. I would always have a new different one when you came in every Friday." "You did make some interesting drink." "Hey I got bored and Mr. Roger said I could!" We laugh together. "Remember when the boys called me gummy bear because of my drink I made that yall liked?" "Yeah I remember that. That's kinda cute I might have to call you that again." I smile "There are some things I miss and then don't miss. Ever wonder what we would be doing now if this never happened?" He sits there for a while "probably in jail for something." I frown "don't say that, your not your brother." "My mind often wonders to him sometimes." "Mine too. I wish I knew where his shirt went. Breaks my heart that I lost it." "He wouldn't believe us right now. Us with a child and married." "He probably would. I used to talk to him about it when I saw him." "You did?" "You remember how Rick was seeing Lori after she died?" "Yeah." "Well I kept seeing Merle and we talked about a lot of things back then. One day he just, poof disappeared." "So that's why I always heard you talking but no one was there." I nod my head "I thought I was going insane but maybe I was." "You are insane." "Can you blame me? I've been around you my entire life." I say laughing, he suddenly flips us over "what was that?" I cover my mouth still laughing. "You better be quiet before you wake her. She's not a morning person like her daddy." I mouth sorry to him and bite my lip trying nothing to laugh. He leans down and kisses me. "Hmph. Daryl." I whine between kisses. He finally pulls back "don't tease me like this." He smirks "you know you like it." He says into my neck biting it softly. "Dixon we're not doing this right now." "But you know you want it." "Not in the room with our daughter in it. And don't want another one thank you." He laughs "you just gonna blue ball me like that?" "You did it to yourself." He flips us once again back into or original position. "Imma show you how much I missed you sooner or later." He kisses my cheek. "When you go on a run, if you ever find condoms grab them bitches." He laughs and shakes his head. "I love you!" "I guess I love you too." I say rolling my eyes. He yawns big time. "Okay big boy it's time for you to sleep." "Guess your right." I suddenly hear a whine at the door. "Guess other big boy wants in." I say getting up "he always does." I open the door and let dog in. He jumps right up in bed with Daryl. I walk back to the bed "alright big boy move other this my spot." I say getting back on Daryl. I kiss Daryls chest and lay my head on it. He rubs dog with one hand as his other is softly running through my hair.
After a while I can hear his deep breaths knowing he's asleep now. I look over at dog as he sleeps on my side. I start tracing the scares on Daryls chest just listening to his heart beat. It feels so damn good to just be here with him and our daughter. Just like a normal family with a little bit of spice added into the mix!
