"Mr Park, could you read out your answer for question 4? You did an amazing job there, let's take your solution as an example." Mr Lee said.

Y/n rolled her eyes as Seonghwa started to read out his, oh so perfect, solution of the exam task. The worst part about it was that she was the only one who rolled her eyes when he talked; everybody loved the Park Seonghwa.

Seonghwa, perhaps the best student in the entire school and with that one of y/n's biggest competitors. Additionally, he was the never-losing captain of the school's basketball team. The silver-haired boy was ridiculously popular and on top of that super handsome, the perfect combination to make everyone have a crush on him. He seemed so invulnerable, almost like royalty at school. He sure looked like one.

He had never wronged the girl, the boy was actually quite nice to her just like he was to everyone else. Seonghwa seemed to not have a single imperfection, both on the inside and outside. If he had a flaw, it was that he had no flaws.

Yet, she couldn't help but see him as the friendly person he was. She simply couldn't get herself to think highly of him but tried to not show it when he was around. The next exam took place two days after that and the girl had sworn to herself to best him this time. One day, she had to catch him slipping.

A day before that English exam, one of the most important games for their basketball team took place. It would determine whether they get to attend the finals or not. Anxiety built up in the girl's body as she was sitting on the tribune, so she started to play with the many rings on her fingers. She hated big groups of people, she felt like she was suffocating in them. The whole school was there to watch the big game as some girls had gathered to jump around in way too-short skirts and scream random phrases in order to encourage their team, alternatively known as cheerleaders.

Seonghwa was just talking to the captain of the other team as y/n sat down on the tribune. Her gaze wandered over the court when she recognised his two closest friends Mingi and Yunho, who were a part of the team as well, fool around to loosen up the mood.

At the moment she looked back to the captains, a pair of intense brown eyes met her gaze. They belonged to no other than Seonghwa who had a small smirk on his lips. Right at that moment, he dedicated his attention back to his dialogue partner, so she could only regard his sharp side profile. What was that glare supposed to mean from Seonghwa? She shook it off and chatted with her friend next to her.

Soon after that, the game had started. The guest team was known for being quite aggressive, so their team adapted to their playing style, yet it was a decent game to enjoy. The only thing bothering y/n's fellow students was that they were losing. They had never lost an important game like this ever since Seonghwa had been announced as the new ambitious captain. The girl couldn't help but let her lips curl up just a tiny bit.

However, the home team's uncertainty was obvious. They, especially their captain, weren't used to losing like that. They played risky without thinking about their next moves first. The referee blew his whistle as Seonghwa crashed into the opponent's captain and turned his wrist at an unhealthy angle while falling. He had to leave the court and get his hand bandaged.

Some minutes later it was announced that he wouldn't be able to continue playing. God, she had never seen him that furious. The grey-haired boy snatched a water bottle from the bench and sat down with a big distance between him and his teammates. Resting his arms on his knees, he leaned forwards with folded hands while his eyes never left the court. Every single muscle of his body was tensed while following the game.

Minutes, which felt like hours to the girl, later the game was over. Seonghwa had regained his kind facial expressions as he said goodbye to the guest team. Soon after that, the home team disappeared in the changing room, but Seonghwa was the only one left on the court with their coach.
